With economic-downturn on everyone's minds, LG's director of marketing plans on downplaying the company's ubiquitous "Life's Good" slogan. Time for Lucky GoldStar to make a comeback? Nothing says "recession proof" like a quasi off-brand cereal name.
To those dissing LG products: You may be using one without even knowing it. For instance, lots of notebooks use LG screens, including your beloved Apple Macbooks. So don't judge by the brand name alone. Educate yourself, clueless 'tards.
What is this; Lowest Rank? Thanks all of you at Engadget for fulfilling our dreams of being able to give this 'honoured' title to people like clak and iEye. I think I might cry of joy now...
What a fuss about nothing. The guy in reality just said that LG would not be doing lots of happy clappy global advertising stuff in the UK but would be doing more local marketing that still used Life's Good as a tagline, but without sounding arrogant went loads of people can't pay their mortgages and electricity bills in the UK at the moment becuase of the recession. Sounds pretty sensible.
Well since "Gold Star" really mean Venus..., (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus) Modern Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese cultures refer to the planet literally as the gold star (Chinese: 金星), based on the Five elements.
why not change their name to LV and start spreading the "Love" like Southwest airlines does.
interesting to read the discussion here. Just to make clear though we're not dropping Life's Good or anything as drastic as that - we've got more information on our own blog at:
