GPS, NDrive rolls out new NDrive Touch GPS units

NDrive's GPS units may not ever make it over here, but it looks like folks in Europe now have two more models to choose from, which the company says are a full 40% thinner and lighter than anything else on the market. Those include the 3.5-inch NDrive Touch and 4.3-inch NDrive Touch XL, which are each available in 1GB and 8GB versions and include all the usual the GPS-related features, plus a few slightly less than common ones like a light sensor and, perhaps most notably, "gesture support," though it's not clear exactly what that entails. There's no word on an exact release date just yet either, but it looks like they'll run you between €139 and €249, or roughly $170 to $310.

"gesture support"
I can think of a few "gestures" commonly used in traffic.... oh ho ho!
Don't read too much in that "gesture support". It's just the "navigate through the menus with your finger on the touch screen".
It doesn't sound as catchy, does it?
NSync were unavailable for comment.
well they were, but no one cares what they have to say anyway.
Heh, yeah. NSync was available for comment but nobody asked 'em, so they're gonna keep waiting.
Heh! My school was in that street! Nice to see a Portuguese company doing stuff that really works well!
I have been trying out some NDrive devices and they are great. I hope they keep improving. :)
From the map in the photo, it sure looks like a good GPS for my little airplane.
I was thinking something like that too... the map in the picture seems like it was taken off Windows Live Maps' bird's eye view - which, the last time I checked, was not seamless (the pictures "jump" as you move around the map), which does not seem to be ideal for mapping purposes.
So what if its lighter? Less load on the car or just a bit much easier for someone to steal?
Nop, much easier to carry on with it, so that would not be steal from the car !!
Portugal rules!!!
I used a TomTom One Iberia for most than a year and it was ok, but the battery life sucked.
N Drive is superior in every single aspect. And is more affordable, at least here in Portugal.
I am looking forward to buy this one.
I have one and is amazing!!
It´s small so i can take it every place!
se screen is great! and the sensor of backlight work very well!
