Sure, it looks like a friendly robot strapped to a mobile toilet, but this robo-maid developed by Tokyo University's Information and Robot Technology (IRT) center won't be assisting with the after birth of your Turducken food baby. Assistant Robot is domestic enough to do the laundry, sweep, and clean up the kitchen... but there are limits to what its 3D sensors will respond to. Its creators claim that it can recognize when there's more laundry to do and won't be distracted from completing its task by the roar of the crowd from the television. That gives men about 10 - 20 years to get their act together before this robot could conceivably go production. Hot domestic cleaning action in the video posted after the break.

Be careful what ou wish for. What Engadget isn't telling us is that the next model includes incessant nagging and a feature that makes it pick up random objects and asks "Does this belong here?" in a condescending tone... And for the love of all things good, if you do happen to use the robo-toilet be sure to put the seat back down or it will do bad things with your toothbrush!

At that kind of speed I might as well have a toked up friend doing it. Same disbelieving stare while trying to grab objects, more flexibility in less controlled environments, cheaper to boot.

Not bad, not bad at all, now it just needs some work on its looks: like substitute the box with a nice sculpted butt and the rightly proportioned breasts and just make its appearence a bit more attractive and sexy.
Any company that will have such a product on its catalogue is going to conquer the world.

If you just look at the picture and are too lazy to watch the video, like myself, that sadistic robot is heading towards the washing machine with a puppy in its hands.
