For some reason this episode did not show up in my RSS reader. I'm glad I saw the story in my regular Engadget feed, but the Podcast feed was broken for this show...
Am I the only one excited about where Windows 7 is going with multi-touch? Have you seen the demos on touch screens? It's actually pretty slick and usable. Everything you can do with a mouse you'll soon be able to do just as easily with multi-touch (and many things easier...we all love pinch zoom). I love the "dragging up" replacement for right-click Windows 7...that really impressed me. You guys were saying "well..what can it really do now?" It's in pre-beta now. The difference between what it can do now and what it can do when it's released in 2010 is huge. Granted, multi-touch isn't going to do much for desktops, but the desktop is dying. Casual users are heading towards netbooks and power users are heading towards laptops (compare iMac sales to Macbook sales). I think we can all agree that tablets suck, but we're already seeing "convertible tablets" coming out, and I think Windows 7 is going to make these extremely powerful. The real question is how well Windows 7 will work on low-end netbooks. But even if it's an epic fail, I think what they're doing with multi-touch is going to change everything. Apple is going to need to play catchup now.
Hello,
Just wondering if you guys have tested the Netflix playback on Xbox 360 with its wi-fi adapter? I'm just a little concerned about streaming this kind of content over wi-fi.
Thanks
