Nokia's N85 drops by the FCC, dips head, inquires about what's good
Not that we ever (okay, maybe there was a moment of weakness in there somewhere) doubted that Nokia's N85 was North America-bound, but the handset dubbed superior to the flagship N96 by one Italian reviewer is indeed coming to US soil. And we've found the FCC documentation to prove it. At this point though, there's little the User Guide, external / internal photos and SAR report can tell us that we don't already know, so again, the takeaway here is that we're one (huge) step closer to having an N85 to call our own. Now that's what's up.

I was hoping the sentence for the title ended after the first 3 words. Serioulsly though, I'm all for innovative designs, but dedicated media buttons? Hmmm.. I'd prefer a keyboard.
It has a keypad.... If you mean QWERTY, then there's plenty of those around
This is what Nokia give us after over 2 years with the N95. Thanks, Nokia!
quality of plastic and the slider mechanism is superior than nokia N96 in this one. and has low power consuming awesome OLED display
four buttons on the side can be programmed for any function , like music player shortcuts, N-gage gaming, picture and video player etc

ummmNO.
Can I just point out that not all Apple fans are complete 'tards like iEye. I'm sure he's on the payroll of Microsoft judging by the nonsense he comes out with.
@iEye
All sarcasm aside, that was funny. I didn't see that one coming. I usually think your comments are both humorless and tasteless, but that was funny.
Hahahahaha @ iEye!
So if it's better, apparently all it needs to do is be under $899 to kick the N95's ass all over the place...
I chose this over the N96 and the Samsung i8510 .. not only for the OLED screen but it also has an FM transmitter for use in the car .. etc etc.. I may yet buy a N96 or the Samsung but the firmware isn't that great yet for either of them .. I find the N85's ok for a first build .. *cough* iPhone superior device .. yeah right ..
Nokia makes good phones but where are they sold in the US by which carriers? Only unlocked at $800 and then I bring it over to AT&T and pay the same monthly price as an iPhone? I guess I don't get it.
No, you wouldn't pay the same monthly price as an iphone (3g), you would pay 15 dollars for unlimited internet IF you wanted it.
mmmm....this is NOT a thin gadget, looks like a brick.
