We
heard last week when Sprint launched the
HTC Touch Pro at "select national retailers" that the device would be available online on November 2nd. Well, it's November 2nd, and they've kept their promise. The base retail price of the QWERTY smartphone is $579.99, but an "instant savings" of $180 combined with a $100 mail-in-rebate brings the price down to palatable $299.99 (with a 2-year agreement, needless to say). Of course, if you're really starved for human contact, you could always head over to a Sprint store and buy one in person, too.

Finally, the day has arrived! I will be upgrading my Diamond shortly . . .
Any word on this being made to go on Verizon? I absoultely love this phone, at least what I've read about it, but I have Verizon...
Yes Verizon is taking this on (dont know date though), but from what I've read they're crippling the processor (down to 400Mhz +/-) and mem. Just signed myself up for a 30 day test-drive on Sprint because I'm getting tired of Verizon's hacked phones after all these years with them.
Worst smart phone I've ever owned. 4-weeks later and some how I haven't throw this against a brick wall yet. It's going back to the supplier - this phone is a major fail.
