AT&T Premier didn't even have an option to up your contract for me. I kept my data plan and paid $349 for a no-contract Fuze.
You have to have a data plan for 30 a month
Nicklar: you got a Fuze with a no-contract plan? The chat rep told me it wasn't available without a contract, then went on to tell me to I could get a Go phone. Silly rep... I already have a no-contract plan with a phone with them, too. I want a Fuze with my current plan, darnit!
digitallysick- did u apply for d pda?
i placed an order and it said 299 after discount , i went under upgrade, and it didn't force me to select a data plan, currently i have none, i stayed on the same plan
played with it and it was smooth as butta for WinMo... still no iphone or android but was doable :-)
Why did AT&T change the keyboard layout and remove the number key row that the sprint version has?
I thought that would bug me - that they put the number in a keypad layout - but it's fine, it really is!
You know, I'm kind of surprised you failed to mention the $499 No Commitment price. That seems absurdly low for a phone of this caliber.
I just went to the AT&T Premier site and since I'm not in an upgrade eligible period it says I need to pay the full no-commitment price... which is $879.99!!!! Uh, no thanks!
So, AT&T vs Sprint. Basically the same phone, but with different radios talking to the network. Let's leave out the contract & price issues for a moment: I have a contract with both, with a similar price/service.
Assuming I live in an area with excellent service on both networks, which is the better phone? Is one faster than the other? Does one have better battery life due to the radio needing less juice?
I have a HTC Touch Pro (i'm pretty sure fuze/pro are going to be almost identical but correct me if i'm wrong) and thought i'd offer up a few thoughts after a few weeks of use
It's a great looking phone and the TouchFLO 3D overlay looks as slick as hell but unfortunately the performance isn't as good as you would hope from a high end phone like this. There is often a lot of lag between the touch/button press and the response from the device and in some cases it can make it harder and a little annoying to use
On the other hand it looks great and is absolutely packed with useful features and apps, great conectivity and the keyboard is pretty good for typing longer emails
"So, AT&T vs Sprint. Basically the same phone"
Sprint phone has faster CPU and more memory
Sorry but no. The specs listed on AT&T for the processor and RAM are the same as the original HTC Touch Pro, and therefore the same as the Sprint version.
ROM 512 MB
RAM 288MB
Qualcomm MSM7201A 528MHz
Neil, I've seen the responsiveness issue in a couple of Touch Pro reviews, and it is a concern of mine. My question to you: is it bad enough that you are having second thoughts about your choice?
John....the memory on each is identical acoording to the specs... 288 ROM and 512 RAM. I don't see specs on the Fuze CPU.... the Touch Pro's is a "QUALCOMM 528 MHzMSM7201A"
If the Touch Pro really does have a faster CPU, then it does sound like a better phone. How 'bout the GSM? I have always been happy with my Sprint service...
The iPhone is cheaper, easy choice for me.
hmmm finally....i would get this...look at armagetton, same phone as the htc pro...sprint sucks were i live, i literally get ZERO bars in and aoround my house. i have sprint phone for work. no thanks, att on other hand (i have the 8525) full service full 3g. so easy pick for me
I am leaving Verizon as soon as my contract is out. They lost the iPhone, they lost the G1.
Hey VERIZON -- FUCK YOUR NETWORK, HOW ABOUT THE DEVICES?!!!
So i went into my local store yesterday and picked this bad boy up. I must say i haven't put it down since. This phone is a great phone and I like it alot more then my friends Iphones
Stopped by the local ATT store on the way home after seeing this. I am pretty sure that this will be my next phone when I am upgrade eligible come Nov. 26th. Love the look and feel!! It is between this and the iPhone but with the way the iPhone is locked down and playing bully in the app store, I am thinking this will be it!
I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro which is the same as this one. It's a little bulky, but I like its Rev-a feature which enable to use the phone as a modem.
Just noticed dealdigs.com has $50 instant cash back on this phone when I went there to redeem my cash back for a gophone. If you want to buy from the att.com for this phone, you might want to check this site.

Ordered the Fuze online from AT&T a few minutes after midnight early 11/11; it arrived 11/12 at 7:45 a.m. (free shipping). Emails and voice calls are my main cell needs; this device does email like email ought to be done! Nothing to setting it up on my personal email account (not webmail). Possible configs are similar to those of a desktop. MyFuzeMuse is allllll awesome and we have bonded. Only prob: Not a properly fitting, convenient case---which is certainly essential for touchscreen protection---This dude turns pages and can run amok from the slightest sensation.
I really want to get this phone! but I'm still stuck with tmobile for another year and a half... plus, I get no signal around my house! I saw that amazon was selling this phone for $174.99 with a new two year agreement with AT&T.
I am between 2 phones: The HTC fuze or the sony ericsson X1 .I need help here which one do you guys think I should get?
