Canadian Zune undercuts American price, hip checks into boards

There was a time, not so many years ago, when smug Americans could scoff at the currency of our neighbors to the north, saying "That's what, fifty cents?" at any Canadian price whilst laughing heartily. Naturally we American's aren't quite so giddy these days, and while the US dollar is regaining some traction versus its northern neighbor that doesn't explain this Canuck second-gen 8GB Zune's price discrepancy. It's selling at Future Shop (which is like Best Buy, eh?) for just $99 CAD -- that's $82 US, and over $50 less than we can find it at any other reputable 'Merican retailer. It is a limited time offer, however, going back up to $149.99 CAD in just six days. So, you'd better hurry up and take off to the great white north -- Future Shop doesn't ship international, don'cha know.

As a Future Shop employee, o rly is correct. Future shop carries more high end products, and has a target customer age that is lower than best buy.

Being neither a Future Shop nor a BB employee, I just have to say - Best Buy is doing a MUCH better job of selling themselves as the store to visit, at least in the GTA. Their stores are newer, cleaner, and better organized, and the staff is friendlier and more knowledgeable (with a better command of the english language). Future Shops really do give off a "bargain bin" vibe now, it's kinda sad. I've never actually seen any confirmation that Best Buy Canada owns Future Shop - seems to me if they did, it would be a silly thing for them to be building all these fancy new Best Buy stores across the street from virtually every Future Shop here.

You Canadian Douche Bag! You're probably one of those assholes who come to Buffalo to shop, and leave all the packaging in the mall parking lots. The Sabre's are a great team, and sell out every game. You have to be on a waiting list for years to get season tickets. And 90% of our tickets don't go to corporations like the stupid Maple Leafs. Picked an 80 up today for 200. Not on sale. Yes, we ARE undercutting the US dollar and selling VERY close to cost (Less than 10% margin on them right now. ) the 120 is dead even with the US price. 249.99
