Intel Core i7 CPUs reappear on NewEgg
Remember those Core i7 processors that showed up -- ever so briefly -- on NewEgg a few days ago, only to promptly disappear, leaving us to ponder what we'd done wrong? Well, even though they're not slated to officially hit shelves until November 17th, we've heard from a slew of vigilant tipsters (hipsters?) that they're back. The prices are the same as we saw before, but you might want to check 'em out yourself right away, just in case they disappear again and you're forced to wait until tomorrow.

Newegg -- the reason I own a business credit card.
I'm going to wait for the next revision (I make it a rule not to buy 1st gen tech) but I'll definitely be building this into my next xbmc HTPC, probably late next spring when pricing is a little more reasonable and i7 overclocking is stable and easy as pie.
These things are freaking sweet, though.
i STILL contend that is the worst naming scheme for any product in history, even if they are uber-awesome performance-wise.
How about the Daihatsu Charade?
what about the Daihatsu Charade? at least thats a NAME :P
charade: n. A readily perceived pretense; a travesty
Best CPU ever.
That's what she said.
i7 brought amd to the edge.
"To the cliffs with them!"
nice!
The Fry's up here actually had the Asus X58 boards available for purchase yesterday when I was there, but there were no CPUs available for them yet. Then again, I just finished putting together a new Core 2 Quad rig last month, so I figure I'll be good for a while in the PC department.
Thanks for the notice! I bought mine 5 min after the post....these are going to sell out fast.
Outstanding! I knew they would return!

I'm calling it. From hence forth November 17th shall be referred to as i7 day! ( Ironically i is also roman numeral for one... coincidence? I don't think so)
