Logic3 intros i-Station Rotate iPod / iPhone dock

It sure is tough for iPod docks to stand out from the pack these days, but it looks like Logic3 has found one fairly unique way to get its new i-Station Rotate unit noticed, with it packing a rotating mechanism that will let you adjust your iPod or iPhone to suit your screen format. Other than that, it looks to be a fairly standard speaker dock, with it boasting a whopping 10W of total output power, a video output for some larger screen viewing, a 3.5mm line-in jack to accommodate your non-Apple devices, a remote control, and accommodations for four AA batteries to let you take it on the road. You won't be able to get your hands on this one until January, however, when it'll set you back $130.

Finally someone has thought of that. I don't understand why those charging docks for iPhone and iPod Touch already come ith this feature or there are more avilable options, not even one from Apple itself. I finally found one from another manufacturer and I'm loving it. Especially the 2nd gen iPod Touch and Iphone 3G are hard to put on angle on any surface and they keep sliding when you're tryign to watch something and have your lunch or something.

Mind sharing what the other one is?

Sorry, it is an XTand product. I saw it on a Mac magazine and I can tell you it is just great. If I really point to an issue really would be you need to do two things one, plug the cable then place it on the stand unlike an iPod dock where you only place on the dock.

Wow that looks really awesome.. I saw pictures of it before, but thought it was discontinued or something..
How is the viewing angle? I can't find anything on that.. Cause the original iPhone 3G dock has the iPhone at such a bad angle, that it's almost vertical :\

I wonder how many choices you will have within the rotations. Glad they thought of that though the more docks the better.

Sorry, did you say something? I was distracted by your annoying blogspam.

What's up with these docks, can't you iPhone users just plug some speakers in your phone like everybody else?
adelossa @ Nov 17th 2008 3:28PM
No, because we use Apple products!

Yah, but the cable will never hold up the iPhone.. :p

Notice how it has the "home" button looking thing on the left side and the ear speaker slot on the right? Are they trying to be cute or something?

I've been waiting a long time for someone to do this... It's a shame it's not out before Christmas!

I just ordered mine yesterday straight from the manufacturer. Shipping it from the U.K. With the exchange rate what it is it's only setting my back $137 including shipping! Should have it by Christmas easy.
I plan on downloading one of those flip clock apps and having it be my alarm clock, the right way with only one interface, the iPhone, the way it should be
