AOC keeps it simple with $160 F19 LCD monitor

AOC's F19 Monitor Shows that Design and Performance do not Have to Come at a Heavy Cost to Consumers
16:9 widescreen monitor offers style and performance consumers can afford during tough times
Fremont, Calif., 2008 – As technology advances, style and performance tend to go hand in hand with pricing. AOC's F19, 16:9 widescreen monitor offers the performance and sleek design consumers have come to expect from today's displays, but with a price that still fits their budgets given today's economy.
The F19 is a 19" monitor that boasts AOC's easy-to-use silver navigation ring for adjusting display setting with a simple, all-in-one control dial, as well as their patented single post stand that allows for different tilt angles for visual flexibility. From a performance standpoint the F19 offers 16.7 million colors from its 8-bit panel with a very fast 5ms response time, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and both analog and digital DVI inputs. To add to the performance and practicality this monitor lends an element of style to any desk, whether in a home office or dorm room, with a glossy piano-black finish and unique overall design.
"AOC has always offered affordable displays that boast the latest in video technology and design, but during these times keeping prices low without sacrificing performance or style has become increasingly important," said Robert Velez, Marketing Manager for AOC. "The F19 is our offer for those looking for a great widescreen monitor with all the specifications they need at a price they can still afford," added Velez.

1234321 @ Nov 20th 2008 4:58PM
it would take a lot of different pixel sizes to make that trapezoid screen shape
imacmatt09 @ Nov 20th 2008 5:11PM
I hope that was sarcasm.
1234321 @ Nov 20th 2008 5:35PM
I meant shapes not sizes, sorry

There is something Leonardo da Vinci pioneered in art; it is called perspective. Look it up and get back to me.

Yeah I just picked one of those up the other day. I had been putting it off but when it dropped to 165 shipped I had to do it. I am fully aware that this is no pro monitor and while some will complain about resolution or viewing angle, for a cheap, big lcd, it is an excellent value.
This AOC looks too much like one of those all-in-one PCs to me. I prefer the adjustability of a more traditional stand.
Andir3.0 @ Nov 20th 2008 5:54PM
I recently picked up a new 24" monitor and it's nearly impossible to find just a plain monitor without USB Hubs, tuners, speakers, and all sorts of crap in them. I wished someone would go back to just putting out a good high quality LCD without all the other stupid features most people never use.
Eugene @ Nov 20th 2008 5:09PM
Puppies sold separately.
Samboini @ Nov 20th 2008 5:31PM
Unfortunately not sweater puppies. :(
Rekit @ Nov 20th 2008 5:25PM
The only way I'll read this article is if the puppies are swapped for miscellaneous hot asian girls.
LonnieDvD @ Nov 20th 2008 5:51PM
This is the perfect monitor for these times, a very good price. Those puppies are darn cute.
