Uh, they DID ask Netflix reps already. The reps responded: "Today, titles regularly come in and out of license and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have on license at any given point in time." Also, only Columbia Pictures were taken off.
Amazing, Engadget spreads another rumour without waiting for more facts to come to light and the community immediately jumpes on the "hate Sony" bandwagon without thinking about the situation.
Ironically,so many here complain about Engadget's editors being biased towards Apple, but at the same time so many readers started to mindlessly rant and assign human qualities like being "childish" to a large corporation like Sony just because they're a bunch of Xbox 360 fanboys.
So this natural flow of titles becoming available just happens to cut off one day before the release of Netflix streaming on Xbox? That's just being ignorant especially since it's only on Xbox they aren't being allowed. Why don't you think about the situation? I have nothing against Sony and the PS3 is a fantastic device but don't spew bullshit. It's all about PR both of the companies are trying to save there own asses because they removed 300ish mostly great movies.
Yeah, it's called luck man. Deal with it. It's amazing to you that it only happened on the Xbox? You do know that companies can get distribution rights only on certain platforms right? If this was some devious, childish move by Sony you at least have to have some motive for god's sakes. Why didn't they take off all Sony subsidiary movies and only Columbia pictures? Even non Xbox fanboys should use some logic when thinking about this situation. "Spewing bullshit" is making all these accusations when you have ZERO proof about their intentions except for the words of both Netflix reps who imply that the titles will be put back up.
