I went to a verizon store today to check it out and maybe buy it, despite the engadget review. They had 3 phones to play with, and all 3 taken by asshats who thought it's their uncles shop and they can hog the Storm all they want. After waiting for 10 mins and giving onna the guys, who had the phone in his hand for well over 15 mins and at times not even messing with it just holding it, a piece of my mind...I left the place. I didn't get a chance to even play with it, plus they were none in the inventory.
The good thing Verizon are doing though is if you sign-up with them today (and they're out of stock), the phones will ship in on Monday...and they'll just credit the rebate to you immediately.
P.S. - before anyone comments on how come I only waited for 10 mins but knew the guy had the phone for 15, I asked the friendly lady who was s'posed to help me with the Storm...on how long had the fucktard been on the phone so far..and she said "Hmm..about 5-6 minutes".
Why didn't you just ask the dude if you could have a look at the Storm? I bet that at least one of the three is reasonably social enough to actually let someone else try it.
