Able Planet headphones cancel out bothersome noise of life so you can get into your game

If you love gaming at loud volumes (who doesn't) but don't love the idea of going deaf by the time you're 35 years old, Able Planet might have something to help you out. Their new PS500MM gaming headphones -- developed with technology that was originally used for the moderately hearing-impaired -- are supposedly ultra-noise-canceling, which should free you from the need to crank up the volume just to compete with background noise. They're $99 and available for order now, so you'll probably want to get over there asap, unless, like us, you destroyed your hearing years ago listening to Use Your Illusion II.

They're ultra-noise-canceling, but are they ultra-Chinese-Democracy-canceling as well?
Better not be. That album is pure gold. Got it over here in Hong Kong, the only place in China where its legal.
I told my friends they would finally have Chinese Democracy on Nov 23. For some reason I don't completely understand they said they were disappointed its only a CD
Pros:
- Very comfortable looking
- Noise canceling GAMING headphones
- $99 dollars, not a bad price
Cons:
- If somebody breaks into my house when I'm home alone, they can sneak up behind me and kill me because I wouldn't be able to hear them. That is a make or break deal for me!!!
I'll pass.
paranoid much?
how about noise cancelling hifi speakers? where are those? what if I want my entire room to be silent? I will not settle until all my ridiculous demands are met!
but seriously, quiet room, come one, that'd kick ass to scream and hear nothing.
The speakers would have to track where you are to cancel the noise. Otherwise your best results would just be silence and really fucking loud every other step.
I want to know what that woman's other hand is doing, and I want to know NOW.
you will be a virgin forever
Here's a friendly tip: check out Beautiful Agony. That's what I thought of when I read your comment.
Hmmm.
No sign of them on their web site...
usually gaming headphones have a mic.. I don't see no mic
and i cant figure where did you learned to write so good
@Guerrilla
The same school you went to.
These aren't necessarily "gaming" headphones, they can just be used while you're playing games.
Headphones are used for other purposes, also.
ORLY?
The reason they're called gaming headphones is because they have been designed with that in mind. They're big and bulky, have a microphone, and a USB plug (in addition to the normal ports). Sure this could be used for your MP3 player, but you don't need a mic for that. This could also be used for Skype, but not something you normally need noise canceling for or high quality sound.
So of course they can be used for other things besides gaming, but they're 'gaming headphones' in the sense a Ferrari is a 'sports car' even though you could just use it to get a few groceries instead.
I don't see a microphone, nor any reference to a microphone.
Of course, the company doesn't seem to list the product on their website, so it's mighty hard to find any details. But, the only thing to make anyone believe that these are gaming headphones is that Engadget wrote "gaming headphones."
But, it was written down, and on the Internet, so it must be true.

You can't reply to him so don't even try.
Come on man!
I'm a virgin, you're a virgin, WE'RE ALL VIRGINS!!!
(If you replace "a virgin" with "drunk", it sounds like Beerfest!)
That is a very very hot girl.

Ok, that's the third Axl Rose and or GnR reference today. Is there some kind of anniversary or something today? I mean, sure they're great... But did you have to go and blind us with the "Axl in dreads" photo? Ick.
Great post though, as always.

I can't find this any where on their website so i think it is either not true or not out yet. Care to clarify?
Ok so they obviously aren't out yet, I found that much out but still no sign of it on their website. Is it because you can't order it yet? If this is true please get your facts right next time.

Or you could get a pair of Shures and use the orange foam inserts that, if I remember correctly, attenuate by 30db.
You know, with just this one pic they can advertise
1) Headphones
2) Shampoos
3) Moisturizer
4) Pillows/Mattress
5) Vibrators
Hmmm... I'm pretty sure angelic-ish women pleasuring themselves in bed usually are not categorized as "gamers"
She looks heavily photoshopped. There's just no way she's actually that cute.
will it block out the sound of someone snoring..................??
Anyone else annoyed by the "use highly unlikely beautiful woman as a model for new tech product" tradition? It's so obnoxious and insulting, as if we'd immediately fall for the ruse, gawking and fawning, rather than be distracted by the glaring incongruity between the obvious likely demo for these things and the models they use for them.

Oh. Well just me then.
No matter how hot that chick is...some guy at some point has thought, "I wish I had some noise canceling headphones so I don't have to hear her b!tch!"
@ John
You have successfully made coffee exit via my nose onto the keyboard. Thanks.
