If the
BlackWing Three was just a touch too rich for your blood, yet you dug what Cineversum had going on, have a look at this. The BlackWing One 1080p digital video projector relies on three 0.6-inch LCoS panels (all with a 1,920 x 1,080 native resolution, obviously) and comes pre-calibrated for optimal performance right out of the box. Additionally, it features a 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,400 ANSI lumens, two HDMI 1.3 sockets, an RS-232 control port and a "futuristic deep metallic-black ABS plastic chassis" designed by France's own Antoine Béon. The first batch is scheduled to hit North America in mid-December for $6,500 apiece, but those up for spending more can have their unit splashed with a custom color.
Might not be such a bad deal actually.. But with all the windows in my room, projectors are sadly a no go :\
you sir should try linux
same problem, also i don't have the $$$
i'll tell you one thing, it looks great:P
However, it does beg the question why you'd want a projector to look great, considering by it's very nature it doesn't get looked at.
i never said i wanted it to look good, i said it does look good, and if you are buying this, you probably want it on display seens how it cost so much, jeez simple comments provoking people
I was actually agreeing with you, I was just wondering whether there is any point in making it look so nice.
Sensitive much?
1400 lumens.. not the brightest in the world..
Crappy home movies played in the backyard -> now on HD. Yippie...
A 1080p circumsicion for $6,500? PASS!
Is it me, or does 'pre-calibrated for optimal performance' make very little sense?
This is just a JVC RS series with two extra pieces of plastic. Personally I would buy the JVC from an authorized dealer rather then having to buy it second hand and having someone meld plastic to a fresh unit. JVC really makes some great looking projectors without the need of the extra moldings. But a company has to try, right?
So expensive. http://www.laptops-battery.co.uk
