Nokia Quake III gains on-phone server, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse support
Remember when playing Quake III at a decent resolution required a $5,000 Alienware? Man, those were the days. Now, we can't help but be thankful for a few special Nokia handsets (the N95 8GB, E90 and N82 in particular) that can all handle the game by their lonesome. In fact, the latest version of the software adds a few remarkably awesome extras. For starters, users can now take advantage of on-phone server support, meaning that your handset can actually host a Quake III multiplayer battle (and may we recommend the server name "trashaccident?"). Also of note, the devs have tossed in support for Bluetooth mice and keyboards. We know, right? Tap the read link for all the juicy installation instructions.

I bet someone (*cough*iEye*cough*) is jealous he can replace a battery..
Quake III playing nice on a 3'' smartphone screen => half the US population will be blind by 2040
Didn't you get the memo? The N95 has TV out.
Lol you must be kidding me ..
How GEEK is it to play quake III arena on your N95 with your TV out (meaning at home), when you could play Quake IV on your PC wich is about 10 feets from there ??
Plus I don't know about your TV but mine doesn't get along very well with the 240x320 resolution.. 35'' :/
... Not only that, but the TV-out cable actually COMES with the phone! Not to mention the leather case, removeable battery, a headset/inline remote that you can use with any headphones, oh, and a hard copy of all the Nokia software.
But to be fair, the box is slightly bigger than an iPhone box, to the point that you may actually (heaven forbid!) have to carry it outside of your tight jeans pocket. Possibly utilizing some kind of retaining device consisting of a plastic or canvas sling with carrying handles, possibly similar to the free shopping bags the store you buy your phone from will give you.
What i wonder about is... Did the guy behind this use the GPL release of the engine for his port, or did he license it...
Because if its the former. I want to see some sources or thats a GPL violation :P
never mind i just failed :P Didn't check the uys website.
Source of t his is here for those interested:

Damn, my regular N95 has too little RAM to run this so i'm stuck with Quake 2 :(
Looks like a nice game.
What happened to Quake 3 for iphone? Or the devs for it?
They cannot legally distribute it as the NDA on the iphone App store (Although i believe this has been lifted now?) Conflicts with the GPL requirement to share their modifications
