Brando offers up laptop cooling pad with built-in hard drive dock

Brando's many peripherals certainly attract their fair share of derison, but it looks like the catch-all retailer may win over a few of the doubters with its new laptop cooling pad / USB hub / hard drive dock, especially considering its $33 price tag. That'll get you two fans that promise to keep your laptop from melting whatever surface it's on, plus three USB ports and, most interestingly, a slot that'll accomodate any 2.5-inch hard drive you might have laying around. Of course, there's always the slight chance that things could go completely haywire (or simply fall apart) but, if you want to give it a go, you can get your order in at the link below.

Well, at least I don't fail at life...

A simple "Lol" comment got highest ranked?
You guys are waaay too nice.
Hey, I thought about it long and hard before I posted it.
I was going for something simple, yet edgy in the sense that it was the perfect fir for such a hilarious comment.

@cwj
well, there's still clak
So it is less convenient than a cheap 2.5 external case, but twice the cost?
My immediate reaction was that it was kind of cool, then I realized it's like adding a flashlight to a power strip.
A 3.5 would be much more interesting, but those docks for bare drives seem fine anyway.
Putting the ports to the back was one of the stupidest things to do, really. Now you gonna have to bend over your laptop every time you wanna plug or unplug anything. So unergonomic. I hate this kind of nonsense.
Besides, I'm kinda sad, but still find it interesting, that Engadget comments are used by people to evacuate their frustration. I guess your jobs really suck*. Sorry for you. : /
