Easy Energy Yogen Max foldable, man-powered laptop charger prototype complete

Charging your laptop could start to feel a lot more like work in the near future, if the folks at Easy Energy have it their way. They've just completed a protoype for the Yogen Max laptop charger, and though details are particularly spartan about the actual workings of the device, as you can see from the mock-up, it's going to involve a human foot pumping juice directly into your laptop. Unlike some other devices we've seen, the Yogen Max has no external battery, plus it's way more foldable and boasts a totally awesome font. The spokesperson from Easy Energy says they hope to bring the product to the consumer market sometime in 2009. If that girl in the background of the photo is any indication of how outlandishly fun the human-powered charger is to use, we sure hope it's available soon.

I see them selling about six of these.
but will it blend?
But will you shut up?
Speaking of the girl in the back, is she dancing in a wet t-shirt contest? Either that or that's some very ambiguously placed shirt logo...
What would you do if I said it was a nipple?
I noticed that before I noticed the rest of the article. Call me observant or call me a perv. Either way I win.
Since when has google's page had a massive battery indicator?
since always!
BRILL-I-ANT
Why has nobody else come up with any similar / dynamo type laptop charger thingymabobies? Sweet idea.
They should make an exercise bike that has plug ins to charge or power small electronics.
My wife is going to have some killer calves as much as she talks on her cell phone and wears out the battery.
Anyone else notice the nipple on the woman in the background? Or am I just that horny?
I see Jessica Alba :|...and the nipple :| :|
you guys need some girls QUICKLY!
yeup... in fact I came into the comments for this article only to search for "nipple". I found it. :)
Lol this is cool. I don't know how effective it will be for something like a laptop battery, though.
I'd rather have that treadmill that was rigged to power the computer from on of the Real World seasons.
They should just implement this into keyboard keys, every time you press down a key you add a wee bit of juice.
Whoa, that's actually an awesome idea!
On top of the girls head is there a bare foot on the pad? o.O
This would be a natural for all our grandmas who used a foot power sewing machine.
I guess there really isn't anything new under the sun.
I was thinking just that.
When do we get the jacket and/or pants liner that generates energy based on the normal movement of walking? Or better yet, gloves that generate energy by the motions of typing. Or a plug in for our belly buttons that lets us power our laptops based on the calories we consume. Soon we'd all have Phelpsian diets of 10k calories/day.
And thus, the WoW population began diminishing when this became a required peripheral.
apparently you've never had to Bio mid-raid.
The reflections are all wrong. Definitely Photoshopped.
This product is a killer, considering most of us facing the computer screen more than 1/4 of my day. Anyway, for people who complain they are not fit because the lack of exercise, this will make you peddle 10lb per day.
Im going to use this technology to convert my household pets into energy generators.
Here Abby! Here Girl. Take that SDG&E!
Can I link this up to my Rock Band drum kit? ;)
Has this company met americans?
#1. the majority of you are too fat to use this.. extra movement=rather die
#2. We like power. We do not care if it comes from the fat of a baby seal. If we have been sitting long enough for us to actually need this, then we will simply pop in another battery of find a fn outlet! A new battery is probably half the cost of this garbage.
#3. well I dont have a point for number 3, but you cannot put up an argument unless you have 3 points to back you up.
So youre saying this is two keyboards in one? im in!
why is the chick in the background naked? Not that I mind naked or anything. I just thought it strange to show a little nip on an article about a foot charger :)
Yeah, great product! Repetitive stress injuries here we come!
By the way, there are these things called "batteries" and "power outlets". Might wanna check into those.
