Keepin' it real fake, part CLXX: the highly confused (and confusing) iFone x1

How would you improve the XPERIA X1? If you answered, "remove the keyboard and add a mangled iPhone UI," then the iFone x1 will be right up your alley. Of course, this ain't the first phony X1 we've seen, but it might be our fave. What can we say about this one? It appears to be running Windows CE, it quite possibly supports dual SIM cards, and it has an FM receiver (probably). Does that excite you? In the mood for a good laugh? In either case, be sure to check out the hilarious translation below, and don't forget to peep the video after the break.

Here come the Miezu fans to defend it and call it an original device. Just shoot me now.
Meizu fans know a bad phone when they see one
the reason to like Meizu is that when the rip someone off, they do it properly with good hardware and software
this is crapware for sure
'i' think phone companys should stop copying apple
my iphones better and run osx and it was the first phone with touch screen, multi touch and so this looks dated
iphone for life
plus this knock off looks like sony's iphone knock off
"plus this knock off looks like sony's iphone knock off"
it took a lot of class to say something like that...
Anybody else here think iEye and Clak are the same person?
Or am 'i' (ugh) the only person to think so...
@schmitty: Yeah I'm pretty sure. Trolls usually have at least two accounts if not multiple IPs... and I'm pretty sure ocean said something about having a bunch of IPs, whatever. Tools will be tools.
@JohnTitor
Just to clarify, I wasn't saying that the Meizu line and other knockoffs were bad (although some definitely are), just unoriginal.
That isn't necessarily a bad thing; if every company had to redesign the basic look and layout for laptops, TVs, monitors, mice, and other devices it would be nearly impossible! I just don't like it when people try and say these things are original, that's all.
I think you're wrong, there is no honest meizu fan that doesn't know where they get their ideas, all they want and love is something more affordable that runs close to or just as good, and gives them more freedom with their content
@shmitty
For the record, iEye will occasionally make some normal, not-annoying comments on articles that aren't related to Apple in any way. I'll give him the lesser of two evils.
That phone sure is mangled.
You know what the layout of the buttons reminds me of? The part of a lid from a restaurant where you poke your straw through ;-).
" The look on the Sony Ericsson Xperia x1, looking like nine minutes, but it is an exaggeration to MediaTek MTK, SE Xperia, iPhone interface to the trend of the three super-fit!"
Google Translations keeps on giving, and giving and giving... I love Google Translations.
Are they telling us "it's the Frankenstein's monster of mobile devices?"
Because it sure does sound like it.
@ The WC
I am not saying anything. It's Google Translations...
@IndiaTech
"Are they telling us"
He was talking about what they, not you, were saying.
@Who?
Sorry... Too much caffine. :)
There's another website translation service called Windows Live Translator. I've used it before, and I like how you can view websites in 4 different styles (including side-by-side view). Also, how it's easy to get back to quick translate to another language or another site, instead of having to press the back button. It's worth trying...
http://translator.live.com/
@Quikboy
You're on a tech site, and to say "there's another translator service..."--yes, we know; in fact, there are dozens. Windows Live being Microsoft's web services division is probably one of the better known. As a matter of fact, as far as web services go, I prefer Live to Google (save for e-mail and search). But I digress: you do realize that polished response, complete with the "features" list reads like it comes from a MS PR shill, right?
@Miguel : Uh, I was just suggesting trying another translation service if Google's didn't do the trick. A lot of people aren't aware that there might be other options outside of anything that Google offers. I agree, Live isn't perfect at everything, and when it isn't, I won't bother trying to fluff it up.
It's like when someone talks about this minor issue about IE, and this person responds with "IE sucks, download Firefox. It's much safer and faster". They might even go on and on to mention this and that features and persuade them. Why? Because they just want this person to know there's other options out there, and they might be better if you gave it a try.
I'm merely doing the same thing. I just want people to be aware there's options. I'm no PR. Just a person that was suggesting.
Does it have Cut and Paste?
*Looks out for iEye O_o*
'i' think cut and paste is going out of fashion in todays world as there clearly no use for it anymore
I thought I already gave the lecture on why Apple decided that C&P is not a good idea on a mobile device... for summarize it is for your own protection.
Please don't forget my iNotes...
Actually, I have Copy Paste on my iPhone believe it or not.
I used ziPhone to unlock it, then I downloaded the "safari add-on" from the Installer and it has a Copy Paste feature.
@Flashpoint
I wish I had the heart to do that, but last time I jailbroke my iPod touch/iPhone they crashed (as in requiring a restore in iTunes) about once a week. Of course, that was 11 months ago for the iPhone (way back when the .tiff hack was still being used) and 5 months ago for the touch, have they improved the stability since then?
Who
I jailbroke mine as soon as I got it back in February. I used 3.0 to give me the 1.1.4 software. I haven't had a single problem with mine. I also jailbroke a friends touch ipod.
@Flashpoint
It seemed to be the games that gave me the most issues, playing emulators for NES, GB, GBA, PSX, ect. caused a lot of problems, and Raging Thunder was worst of all- it put me into 'safe' mode (or whatever) so I had to connect to iTunes... Twice. The only reason I would go back would be for the emulators and custom icons/themes (I have never ever ever wanted copy and paste, honest to God truth). I have the 2G touch now, and I've had the jailbreaking software on my computer for a while, I just don't want to risk what I have right now (it never, and yes I mean never, crashes). I just can't decide! Arg!
Two send call buttons because?
Why? Because they can!
And yes, I have too much time on my hands tonight...
Because it's dual sim.
Those fugly buttons.
Oh wait, I though it is X1, but hey no, it is the true ripoff! WOW, you got me.
FUGLY is right, FUGLY phone, well at least it has windows mobile...
Professional
Fusion Fuzo
that phone is hot. i wanna take a dump on it.
After all the design was based off the iPhone...
ill use iphone as a wiper since it look like a tissue.
Ahahaha
Amazing.
wow...that thing looks bigger than my Sony Walkman.
with a gui tweak, i dont think it'd be that bad of knockoff.
I've actually played with this device before - got scammed by some 15-year-old kid on ebay (found out by Googling his e-mail address; I even found a question about his STI!). Luckily PayPal did justice and got my money back.
Anyway, the phone was of bad build quality, although it did receive TV signals and takes two SIM cards.
"Of course, this ain't the first phony X1 we've seen, but it might be our fave."
I wonder why!
Nice, a digital Rolex symbol on the clock!
Agreed NICE clock.
They are probably made by the same company that made all those Rolex knockoffs. lmao
I can read Chinese.
it says "SIM ka 2"
ka = card
Its a Dual SIM phone
I can read English.
It says on the box in the corner "Dual SIM"
Rolex logo? It's a iPhone, Submariner and Xperia all in one!
That's a run of the mill Nucles/MTKOS phone. Nowhere close to WinCE FYI :)
Fony
