You can find penty of those from a dozen of manufacturers in a dozen of different styles, or you can make one yourself just the way you like it, nobody belives me when I first say it but is not more difficult than assembling a descktop with standard off the shelf components.
P.S. I know I talk too much about digital photo frames but I just love my mods and I Know that when my next project will be finished it will be the best ever seen anywhere. I just have to decide if it's worth to splurge on a touch screen, or if to keep this 13" acer lappie screen and splurge a bit less on a first class universal remote control. I already prepared a semi-opaque & thin plexiglass bezel to replace the one around the acer monitor(or eventually the touch screen) , it incorporates a led illumination whose intensity and colour can be changed and that will be placed flush with the screen. On the four corners I drilled the holes for remote receiver, camera (will have motion sensing) , microphone (for skype, google video or Voip) and a light sensor (that does'nt seem to work). Its wifi card will connect it directly to the broadband router to access a flikr account (by default) or with a push of the remote (or maybe the touch screen) a picasa account or the media files in the NAS or house PCs or in the included 4GB memory. At the same time as it's showing video or photo files (picWiz II) it will be able to play music from internet radios, DAB, FM,podcasts , etc or access music and video files from the NAS or the PCs. My previous build could show 14 programs of digital TV (DTV-B) and access a quantity of digital radio stations but I expect this one to do better because instead of an hacked dongle I used a proper DTV_B card. Instead I hacked an external sound card that I'm gonna connect wiressly to an amplified subwoofer (2.1 system /25+10+10 watt). It will control wiressly also the 3 videocams of my house (up to 5 can be connected) and all functions can be accessed over the interweb. Besides Skype and Voip, and iGoogle, Gmail , Gchat & video it can be used also as a landline speakerphone with a digital telephone answer built into the aluminum, flat "leg" (or is it a foot?) that holds it up. It has also IR and Bluetooth capability to access media files directly from a cell phone or PMP or to add a headset or headphones. DesktopEarth (TM) will show a world clock with the cloud system on the globe updated every 5 minutes, the areas of the globe in the sun or those in the dark or moonlit, and also work as alarm clock. Google calendar and notes works pretty well via voice command , so I installed also MS voice commander which will allow to manage most if not all functions via voice commands, but only by using a bluetooth headset otherways the background noise would make it unpractical. There are some more cool features but you can check them out on youtube by yourself next week
And if you have some more cool ideas please let me know.
While its tablet world topping pixel density, Tegra 2 silicon, and fresh to death OS certainly sound awesome, we had to get our grubby mitts on one to see if it's as good as its spec sheet would have us believe.
