Crazy HP offers $400 off on tx2500z tablet, throws in printer, will not be undersold
Are you looking for a full-featured tablet but, thanks to current economic conditions, find yourself stuck with a netbook budget? Check out HP's tx2500z 12.1-inch portable, available now through the company's online store for just $599.99 shipped -- if you can wade through the mildly convoluted customization process that's detailed at the read link. Select all the right options and free upgrades (including 3GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD) and you'll get yourself a 2GHz touch-screen device plus a D1560 inkjet printer for under $600 after a $400-off coupon and $70 mail-in rebate -- just a little bit of hassle to get a stellar deal on a sweet tablet.Update: Too slow, folks. We're hearing the coupon code is now dead.

FYI - These are gone.
There were only 1000 and they went. I called customer support to verify. What really burns is that I had the deal on my screen and just had to go back and mess with the options, in the meantime losing the deal... Oh well, easy come, easy go...
The only thing hot about this deal is the surface of the laptop itself. 100 degrees of overheating plastic trash. Horrific grainy washed out screen. Disastrous AMD processor. Tacky glossy shiny finish. Weak VGA out flickers on AC power. No surprise it's being chopped out, it has been on permanent sale since launch and HP finally realise it's a lemon. I wouldn't pay 5 dollars for this trash.
You have so much experience with this, I presume you own one.
Since you wouldn't pay even $5 for it, I'm sure you'd be pleased to sell it: I offer $15 plus shipping, so you'll turn more than $10 profit. Deal?
FWIW, I'm quite happy with my tx2000, and the tx2500 is practically the same (just a CPU/chipset upgrade). While the screen is not perfect (poor viewing angle, and glossy), it's a good deal for the price they're offering, let alone $5...
I owned one for one day. Returned as faulty due to VGA issue. Hot garbage, literally.
Alright... what am I missing. I tried this and can't get the coupon to work. It keeps telling me that "the coupon code entered is invalid".

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152233#
Shall i go for it or is there something better?
It's live again! Only 450 Coupon redemptions this time so hurry!
I got it at 8:45!!!! I hope these comments bashing it are crap.... I have been waiting for a deal like this for a long time. I alomost cancelled after reading the comments bashing it!
dranon, most of these comments are from people that didn't give it a chance or bought something for the wrong reason.
I have had a Tx2500 since August and I'm in love with this laptop. I paid a little under $1000 (hardware wise, not tax plus shipping) for it, but that was with a $250 coupon, so I got my laptop maxed out with almost everything. I use it everyday and it has not disappointed me yet. I take this thing to every class I go to, I don't use notebooks anymore since all my notebooks are now my laptop. The internet is great on here, wireless card works incredible. I know someone else said theirs didn't work, but mine gets a perfect signal throughout my house, and works great with my colleges wifi. One thing you should know is that the laptop sometimes does get hot. But this mostly happens when I cover the vent. Also this laptop was not meant for heavy duty gaming. I play light games on here and it works great, just change the settings to high power and your ready to go. Oh and last thing, like most computers, this things comes with everything and its mama preloaded. So take an hr and uninstall everything, and if you know how then do a full clean install of the whole computer. But even if you can do that (I didn't) the computer still works great.
Heres a great site where theres a bunch of reviews on the laptop, and as any question you can think of

Heh, the first post on Rosario's review site is about a tx1000/tx2000 build defect. "dranon" (and other buyers), I hope you don't run into the problems several other HP tablet buyers have encountered. Hopefully they've fixed the build defect on the 2500 series. I would note though, that they had build defects on the predecessor dv series though. In any event, it looks like enough people complained where HP has been extending warranties on these series, so you should be covered.
Good luck!
