In case you haven't noticed,
iZ3D is riding the suddenly swelled wave of
3D enthusiasm all the way to the bank (and Vegas). Even though its existing 22-inch 3D LCD has
been around since mid-2007, the firm has recently
hacked down the price and
pushed it into retail outlets in order to drum up interest. At CES, it's bringing even more firepower in the form of a 26-inch prototype (pictured) that should do everything the current 22-incher does, just 4-inches better. Additionally, it'll have on display the Immersion Series, which places a trio of the iZ3D monitors together in order to better simulate flights and races. In case that's not enough, we're also told to expect a 22-inch widescreen 3D LCD that's console-friendly, meaning that the only thing standing between you and 3D Xbox 360 enjoyment is a wonky set of glasses and compatible software. We'll see how it all looks in around a fortnight.

3D LCDs are cool and all...But couldn't everyone put all this 3D LCD R&D into giving consumers lower cost and better quality monitors with IPS panels?
Please? Pretty please?

It's not like they're mutually exclusive.

If they use some lower latency panels with higher resolution I think they'll have a winner this time. Besides the driver compatibility issues they had, the big draw backs were the ghosting and sacrificing the resolution you could get on a 2D screen of the same price.

To be fair, Engadget, the glasses aren't that "wonky". There's 8 styles to choose from, on top of that.

Um, any reason they don't include even basic driver support for any OS besides windows? I understand the market share argument and all but come on, I mean even though I don't use Apple software I'd expect some low level support for that distro at least.

are there any games that will work in 3D? - yes!! almost all directX 9 games work with the iz3d! there is a large list of tested games on their site but you can try your game because chances are it'll work and if not you can always contact them and they'll make it work :) very good team. I love my 22' iz3d and think the 26' version will be even more amazing. stereo3d is the future!

btw only insecure ppl that are unsure about themselves will refuse to put on a pair of glasses that will give them an amazing gaming experience.
