I'd say he jumped the gun, but that's florida for you. However, when you finally do get your degree, it needs to be from a real university. Bullshit aside, it makes your education well rounded, and where you went to school can open tons of doors. For instance, I attended Cal and UTA, if I told people UTA, they'd say, 'where the hell is that?,' even though it's one of the best computer science schools in the country. Everyone on earth knows where Berkeley stands, even if the majority of its students are liberal arts majors, and that is a terrible part of the school.
It's stupidity and arrogance, but that's how most people are, and you have to beat the system at its own game.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”

The University of Florida is ranked higher than your school
1. I go to a community college (in Jacksonville). I care more about learning then how popular the damn school is.
2. Where, exactly, was I being critical of UF? Sounds like someone is jumping the gun a bit in their defense.
