Dell's AC Adapter for "Adamo Thirteen" is 45 Watts of bland
You know what's sexy? Ultraportables. You know what usually isn't? Their power adapters. Dell's keeping things way on the conservative side here with this "Adamo Thirteen" 45W AC Adapter -- in fact, we'd say this is the exact same adapter we've gotten with every Dell laptop in the past few years or so, other than the miniscule wattage. The part popped up on Dell's site just recently, and while Dell seems to have pulled to Adamo reference, Google cache still remembers the good times. What is perhaps interesting here is the seeming confirmation of the product name that the laptop will have a 13-inch screen. Not hugely surprising given the competitive landscape here, but we're content to nibble on Adamo info for the time being.

Did it occur to the Engadget author (and many of you here), that it's probably a "stock" photo, and the actual adapter will likely look nothing at all like the one pictured?
As others have said, the 65W adapter that ships with the M1330 is smaller, and the Auto/Air Adapter is even smaller than the M1330s. It's hard to imagine why Dell would design a 45w adapter to look their old 90W adapters.
Dell may not design like they're located on NY's Madison Avenue, but they certainly have to know better than to design their power adapter for the Adamo, or any low-powered laptop, like that.
You know what's really bland when it shouldn't be? My iPod Touch's ugly as hell USB cord. If Nokia can make theirs look and feel classy, why can't Apple?
eeek... that look like a latitude D series adapter
my e4200 comes with one thats quite slim and small (and very square edged... which is kinda what makes this rounded one scream "D-series")
... point being that if this thing is going to compete with the macbook air, they're going to need to do better.
Maybe I don't get the article's purpose, but does the appearance of the power adapter matter THAT MUCH??? It's a power brick for goodness sake!! So they're supposed to be "sexy" now, even though they're out of sight for much of the time??? And how many people drool over a power adapter in the first place???
Just because Dell Power supplies was in the subject...
I really don't give a rats ass about how the charger "looks", I just want some durability. I have gone through 4 (2 for my wife's laptop, 2 for mine) of them in the past year and a half.
It should be noted that this is in fact NOT the adapter that will be coming with the Adamo. As we saw in Engadget's CES coverage and the wonderful spread on the Dell Adamo the power adapter will be much sleeker and easy to travel with. Cheers to Dell!
