We've seen some
pretty low tricks when it comes to giving
what appears to be a gaming console to a junior, but we're pleading -- nay, insisting -- that you don't ever buy in on either of these in an attempt to pull the wool over a kiddo's eyes. Straight from a shady warehouse in China comes Rodisson Technologies' totally ridiculous Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 clones, both of which can only play 8-bit titles. The worst part, however, isn't the complete lack of effort in knocking these systems off with any level of pride; rather, it's the 10,000 item minimum order quantity. Thanks, but no thanks.

I bet some poor kid in a third world country who didn't know any better would jump for joy if he got one of these for the holidays.
It serves it purpose
- Merry Christmas.
Bushrod @ Dec 26th 2008 5:02AM
Umm, no. You have no idea how crappy those things are.

third-world kid: "at last, a console from the west that doesn't RRoD! Yesssss"
strider_mt2k @ Dec 26th 2008 7:49AM
Doubtful, as they are probably the ones who made it.
xboxbuff @ Dec 26th 2008 9:09AM
Actually, many young people in China have known about or own the Xbox 360
User7 @ Dec 26th 2008 9:53AM
How many third world countries have TV's and power?
Flashpoint @ Dec 26th 2008 11:07AM
The funny thing is - thanks to our wonderful Chinese copyright infringement artists...you can get one of these fake systems that comes prepacked with a bunch of classic NES, Genesis, Master System, SNES and Turbographyx 16 games from Chinatown here in NYC.
...or, you can pay over $200 to get the same amount of games from Wii's virtual store.
Platinum_Skeet @ Dec 26th 2008 11:42AM
I don't know about the Xbox360 console but China does still support the HD-DVD format and it's not dead over there...
Oli D @ Dec 26th 2008 5:18PM
@xboxbuff, if even one tenth of chinas population had an xbox....
1.6 Billion. No. I would say that only a fraction have ever seen an Xbox.
Arkenklo @ Dec 29th 2008 1:45AM
It's more likely the console comes from the factory he works in then "the west"
bff @ Dec 26th 2008 4:31AM

yopladas @ Dec 26th 2008 4:41AM
I'm always amazed the must be a market for this! I mean, there IS, isn't there? Or why would they keep making fakey stuff?!
Bufsabre @ Dec 26th 2008 4:44AM
/me thinks they only made 10,000 of each and are trying to pawn them all off at once
Frostblade10 @ Dec 26th 2008 5:18AM
LOL i sent in an inquiry for an order of 30,000 units from a make believe company called "Stupid Fucking Ripoffs Incorporated" with contact name Robert Irvine (ex-food network chef). I really hope they dont know any english and email me!!!!! LOLOLOL
(BTW, Im completely serious. i actually sent an inquiry)
giuliop @ Dec 26th 2008 5:31AM
Of course they know English; just look at the description, they have "build in games".
Salsa Shark @ Dec 27th 2008 12:01AM
No longer an ex-Food Network chef, by the way...
Errorkid @ Dec 26th 2008 5:20AM
This reminds me of the first and second generation knock-offs the Japanese produced the previous millennium.
We all know what that evolved into ... give it 10 years tops until they dominate the tech/telecom market.
ED @ Dec 26th 2008 6:17AM
I'm certain a smart kid could find something to do with 10,000 of these.
G @ Dec 26th 2008 6:54AM
Somehow connect them all and emulate a real Xbox?
ED @ Dec 26th 2008 7:29AM
Maybe half of one.
ED @ Dec 26th 2008 6:17AM
Actually, I kinda need spare parts for my robot army...
Shaka @ Dec 26th 2008 6:34AM
Kind of looks like a Wiibox 360.
whatsisface @ Dec 26th 2008 9:33AM
More like an Xbox Wii60
Félix @ Dec 26th 2008 6:45AM
8-bits games ?
It's not even a Megadrive then ?
STINK @ Dec 26th 2008 7:52AM
"* 1+512 build in game ,9999999 in 1"
Uhh,...could someone interpret this for me?
Ad-man @ Dec 26th 2008 8:11AM
This reminds me of a picture I need to get of my phone of a Wii version of these selling in The Works (a crappy budget bookstore / stationary shop in the UK), how fairly big chains can get away with selling these I have no idea...
superhobo @ Dec 26th 2008 8:58AM
These make me unbelievably angry...make me rage!
I think its from when I discovered that "Playstation" that was so cheap and I wanted in '96 was a fake.

Did you see the Wii car charger?
MRLN @ Dec 26th 2008 10:21AM
Oh, a Wii car charger is very practical!
If this costs under $10, it's not that bad of a deal.
Tim22 @ Dec 26th 2008 10:22AM
come on a real xbox 360 is only £120, how desperate would you have to be to get this?
Jonathan-DBOSS @ Dec 26th 2008 11:23PM
If I only have £20 in my bank account and anxiously want a fake 360 then sure, i'd be pretty desperate.
Daza @ Dec 27th 2008 8:30AM
In Australia they sell for the equivalent of 100 GBP. Just picked one up with GOW:2 for what would cost you 120 GBP, and another 15 GBP for the 20GB HDD and 3 months of live.
Mr. Ford @ Dec 26th 2008 11:50AM
Those controllers are totally an iPhone ripoff. I mean come on, they have buttons on them. How much more obvious could they be?
Salsa Shark @ Dec 27th 2008 12:05AM
If your iPhone has buttons, you probably got it from the same guys who made this...
metabee209 @ Dec 26th 2008 12:02PM
We're complaining about this, yet 20 years ago, people were shooting and robbing each other to get one of these.
matt merritt @ Dec 26th 2008 12:03PM
Damn 173... I never even noticed how many of these KIRF posts there were.
Keep up the shitty work China!
BigTeebo @ Dec 26th 2008 12:48PM
I wouldn't mind one of these to go next to my Chintendo Vii. From the pic, it looks like an Xbox360 pencil eraser key fob.
BigTeebo @ Dec 26th 2008 1:19PM
Look on the rest of the page. There's also a knock off PS2 slim, Xbox 1. I just wish they'd shift gears on these consoles & have a SMS clone with all the games. I've played the Panda-graphic hack of SMB1 already. I kinda/sorta collect these Famiclone things.
Vincent @ Dec 26th 2008 1:48PM

That was a genuinely funny comment, well played.

Francis @ Dec 26th 2008 6:50PM
Not only does it look nothing like the 360, those controllers look more like the playstation controllers and I think the black gaming guns are illegal in California.
Frostblade10 @ Dec 27th 2008 5:11AM
Yep. If i can recall correctly, all toy guns MUST be completely colored neon pink or green.
