EMTEC's Kooky Klickers-based USB drives bring a smile to anyone's face
Think you're having a rough day? Did you get a placard with instructions to the exit rather than a bonus check this week? We know, life's a little rough right now, but how on Earth can you look at the bunch pictured above and not crack at least a smidgen of a grin? Based on the insanely popular Kooky Klickers brand, the Kooky USB Drives are modeled after the widely recognized character pens and are being pushed by EMTEC. Curiously, there's no mention at all of a price, and odder still, not a peep on capacity choices; in other words, you should be fully prepared to pay too much for too little when your kid starts to wailing.

Why do all USB keys have to be always the bloody same (even if they now come in all shapes and colours)?
I want an USB key that once inserted in its port atutomatically sets itself in RAID conf. and backs up all new files.
Or a couple of IR USB keys that when inserted in two different PCs automatically share files.
Or one that when inserted in my netbook would turn the contraption in a satellite phone, or a short wave radio, or a game console.
Do I really have to make everything by myself?
Eric Maldonado @ Dec 30th 2008 12:04PM
Yes.

Why are so many of these USB sticks so big they block up the second (or more) USB port?
Geek45 @ Dec 30th 2008 12:31PM

We still have them at Office Depot for 12.99 for the 2gb. They will probably go on clearance in two weeks if nothing happens, but they are slightly bigger than normal drives so you may find it hard to squeeze it between other ones in the back of your tower.
