Kleer now offering DigiFi Opera wireless earphones in the US

Well, it's been a bit of a long time coming, but it looks like the Kleer-based DigiFi Opera wireless earphones are now finally available in the US, and directly from Kleer itself, no less. From the looks of it, these are the exact same phones that folks in Korea have had at their disposal for quite a few months now, with them still promising to provide CD quality sound over a 2.4GHz wireless link, and let up to three other folks listen to a single source. According to the company, you can also expect to get up to ten hours of playtime, with a USB cable provided to handle the charging duties. If that sounds like the wireless fix you've been looking for, you can snag the earphones right now in your choice of black or white for just under $100 by hitting up the link below.

Does anyone else thinks that engadget deletes previews comments in posts or is it Just me ?

i'm not old enough to testify that - however, we should implement a "you're about to get a FRIST PSOT. please tell me what the integral is for 5x^2+3^(-3/5)+k to post" or some other random question prior to posting.

Why don't you guys go post your bullshit on Enmorons and leave this space to folks interested in these wireless headphones?
Blastar @ Jan 1st 2009 8:32AM

are these any good? any reviews? i've been looking for good range in ear wireless ear-buds but 98$ is a bit steep...

Hmm. It looks like it's an analog wireless link, and the transmitter looks like it would be physically incompatible with a lot of recessed jacks.
Flashpoint @ Jan 1st 2009 5:51PM
If iphone had A2DP built in and we could nix the transmitter, these would be awesome for my iPhone.

i don't like the design

Now they just need to make a version for the iPhone. When, oh when, will someone make a pair of wireless stereo headphones with a microphone that will work with the iPhone? It can't be that hard!
Alex @ Jan 1st 2009 7:33PM
Hmm... At least they're affordable for once. I think the Kleer Sennheiser earbuds are pretty much the ultimate in terms of things out now... But they're nowhere near being affordable for me.
I might get these eventually... Or sit tight and hope that a cheaper set of true wireless earbuds comes out.
I only use my iPhone 3G as a music player so the thing that would sell me on these is if they came out with a special iPhone adapter that either snapped onto the top or even better, the dock connector, and would basically be form-fitted to the phone, so it's less of a little box dangling off...

These look pretty much identical to the Sleek Audio version: http://www.sleek-audio.com/products/sleek-wireless
However, Sleek's is a $100 for just the wireless adapter, with headphones (in-ear SA6 or Customs) sold separately or as a package for additional $$$. Not sure about Opera's, but Sleek's headphones are rated well on their own. I've had the SA6 + wireless package for a couple of months now and like it quite a bit.
