I see it has three inputs.
sounds interesting but undoubtedly its not going to make it to the UK
and its probably going to be rubbish, ah well...
You can get them off of ebay or some sites like ebuyer. if you can go to google and search in the shopping section you'll find a list sites. Just don't go to dodgy sites.
If it had a HDMI I'd grab one instantly for a secondary camera display for my DIY pro-camcoder rig :)
4.3" 280x272? Ouch... I'd hope for at least 800x480 at 4"+. And HD playback is nice! But if there's only 4GB on board and no expansion options it's extremely limited...
There are no 4"-5" players with an HD screen... I doubt there are even any 7"ers.

The old Archos 605 with a 4.3" screen had a 800x480 resolution. I think that 480x272 on a 4.3" is just a little too small and the next logical (and economical) step up is 800x480

Thanks for the correction, not sure why but I thought the microSD card slot was a volume rocker.
It's $58. You can't expect it to have top of the line specs...

What does it matter if it can do 720p if it can't actually display it at that resolution?

Are there any units like this with a double-din mounting kit for a car? I'm working on a carpc at the moment and am looking for a display, there is a really nice 7" touchscreen on mini-box that might do the trick.
your better of w/ a 7".. Ive been looking into building a CarPC lately and from what Im finding, most 7" touch panels fit a double din really good..

How can it output HD signal through minijack? I ask cause on this picture there is a minijack hole and it is signed HDTV. I tried to search the internet to find answer on this but without success. Maybe someone here will be able to answer my question.

The Ainol V3000 has 800x480 resolution, so this is NOT twice as awesome.
It doesn't mention MKV's .. do you think if it does 720p it would support MKV?
like 4GB is enough, well thats enough for one 720p high def movie i can take with me and play on a tv.
the average 720p movie for me is about 6.5 GB
I wonder if you were to mod a Wii to fit with the Ainol if you would create something on the odd side of disturbing...

brushing up on my chinois, I was able to find from the Ainol site that they also have a V6000HDG model which is
a 5" screen at 800x480 @ 24 bits They also mention (print/photo) some kind of e-reader type functionality.
.... there also appears to be a 4.3" HDA model which is also 800x480

I own the V3000. Got it from eBay, no hassles to ship to Canada.
Works well, feels good in the hand, and beautiful display. No serious problems with it.
A couple of firmware upgrades since release have been useful improvements.
It supports a microSD card, can be used as an external drive, and so putting data on it is easier than with an iPhone or an Archos.
However, the V3000 is 800 x 480 display. Why would they make an inferior resolution model, I have no idea.
The main thing the V3000 lacks is good codec support. I suspect the 6000 would have the same issues.

I see you have a V3000. I was looking to buy one off ebay as well, however have heard the video playback can sometimes be jerky?? Have you noticed this?? Does the v3000 support ipod h264 format mp4 videos??
