And the uselessness keeps pouring in...
fred @ Jan 5th 2009 7:22PM
Why not just add 2 more slots and make it like a toaster?
loocas @ Jan 5th 2009 7:10PM
Wow! You're so smart, you can count to "first" and be so happy about it. I envy you...
bill cant fart @ Jan 5th 2009 7:22PM
You know you're not talking to anyone? You should probably get your prescription checked...
Mike @ Jan 5th 2009 10:13PM
Y'know... *You* were the first to post a comment to this story...
loocas @ Jan 6th 2009 6:02AM
No, I wasn't the firts, I was actually replying to a dude who commented "first", but obviously he got deleted and I look like an idiot :) Well played.
timbemo @ Jan 5th 2009 7:11PM
I was almost interested just because I hate having to plugin iPhones all over the place... then I read that only one dock supports the iPhone.
LAME!
chris @ Jan 5th 2009 7:21PM
i concur, major letdown. me and my gf share one charger at my place and the chance to share a charge on an uber cool alarm clock had me interested to the point where the first thing i said was "cool how much" but nevermind. nice try iLuv, but FAIL.
Twitchy @ Jan 5th 2009 7:38PM
Hate to be a grammar Nazi, but it is "...my girlfriend and I...". Pet peeve. Sorry.
Otsego_Undead @ Jan 5th 2009 7:48PM
Agreed. Crippled.
charliex @ Jan 5th 2009 7:50PM
The wording is odd, first it says that it can support upto two iphones, and/or an ipod, so in my book thats two iphones and one ipod at once, then it says that only one dock supports an iPhone.
probably charges both.
Quinn Nelson @ Jan 5th 2009 7:11PM
I love the picture. WARNING: A tornado is about to hit your house. Talk about strong advertising.
tom @ Jan 5th 2009 9:49PM
If that warning were to display on screen, you are too late to leave anyway!
Tommy @ Jan 5th 2009 7:18PM
hmmmm i've only heard about this magical place where u can find information abt weather......it was called the intraweb? or something like that
Jake @ Jan 5th 2009 7:21PM
im sure the base of 4 people that wanted something like this are now happy. w2g iLuv. btw, putting "i" before a crappy name doesnt make it non-crappy.
Mike @ Jan 5th 2009 7:32PM
No, it might not. But Apple seems to have pulled it off pretty well, don't you think?
There are way better MP3 players on the market than the iPod, but why does it have such a commanding marketshare?
JL @ Jan 5th 2009 7:22PM
It's gonna rock you 'til you're down on your knees / It's have you beggin' pretty please / It's gonna rock you like a hurricane / Methamphetamine
No? Not what the post was alluding to? Too bad.
jbuers @ Jan 5th 2009 7:27PM
Is "HURRICANE ALERT ≠ Rock You Like A Hurricane" what you were looking for?
I keed, I keed!
Mike @ Jan 5th 2009 7:31PM
Sure seemed to work for Apple.
Down-rate me :P
djmattyb @ Jan 5th 2009 7:32PM
No HD radio capabilities? I'll pass.
Will @ Jan 5th 2009 7:39PM
I'm 99% sure that you can charge two iPhones at once on this, it's just that one side doesn't officially support it. My old iHome works just fine with my iPhone 3G, the phone just pops up a message that says it's not a supported accessory that then goes away in a few seconds. I can use the remote to play/pause, change songs, everything I could with my iPod video. It may have something to do with interference from the iPhone's comm chips. because the message asks if i want to turn on airplane mode. If that is the case then that would only cause problems on EDGE, where there would be popping/cracking noises when the speakers are on. The 3G frequencies don't cause this problem.
Jay @ Jan 5th 2009 7:40PM
Whoever that guy is, he should take both his iPhone and iPod touch and get the hell out of there.
Dan W @ Jan 5th 2009 7:58PM
Why do none of these ipod alarm clock radios have a line-out anymore? I have Klipsch speakers in my bedroom that I'd like to plug-in.
I was interested in the iHome iP99 or iP9 or iH9 for my iPhone but only the iH9 has a line-out and only the other two are shielded for an iPhone. The popular Sony one doesn't have a line-out either.
Mr. Churchill @ Jan 5th 2009 8:41PM
Why does EnGadget seem to cover EVERY SINGLE iPod dock/alarm clock...it is so annoying...
tiffanyacz @ Jan 6th 2009 1:21AM
Ii got the Cue Radio Model r1 for iTouch, it is a fun little package of good sound for a couple hundred bucks.
And got the dvd to ipod converter software to put DVD to iPod touch

hmm tornado warning... to hit the snooze button or to go to the cellar...
I'm going for snooze on this one.
daniel @ Mar 22nd 2009 8:14PM
Bought the IP9 and suddenly the line out is gone! It shows on the display in store, but NOT on the unit. Checked all units in store. IHOME customer service is TERRIBLE, they said it was a mistake (a mistake on every unit..). I have bought 3 of these... all lasted a short time, then broke. I'll pass.. Bought the sony. IHOME blows! DON'T BUY ONE... READ REVIEWS..YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
