Hands-on with Panasonic's 0.33-inch thick Neo PDP Eco plasma

The amount of electronics thrown away rather than recycled in 2007.
The EPA reports that 82% of electronics disposal in 2007 ended up in the garbage (mostly landfills) rather than a recycling center. (source: EPA, July 2008)

Do not use twilight mode if you don't have a tripod.
Yes, it is slim - but unless they start making 80" models, why does it matter if my screen is 2" thick or 1/3" thick?
why does it matter if your tv is 3 feet thick? why not just make them bigger?
Plain and simple - marketing, to get you to talk about their screens.
When and if I win the lottery, I'll cover every surface in my house with this.
Oh yes I want that 15 iPhone long TV along with that 30 iPhone long piece of furniture to put it on. I love the iPhone measuring scale! :)
The really amazing part is how much does it cost?
I don't really care. They give me an employee discount.
I guess that Mr. Blurrycam wanted to be noticed?
lol, I see what you did there.
So does that mean if I break this open to make a light saber out of the plasma... that mine cannot be Sith length?

This supposed to be made it possible with Pioneer's PDP cooperation.
Pioneer is currently in financial trouble and hasnt turned a profit for a short while. They were the first to bring out sub-one-inch, 9mm thick plasma TVs with their "PROJECT KURO" which was supposed to be released in 2008. Why they didn't release it is a mystery to me, but it would have been the one thing that put Pioneers awesome TVs in the public spot light, the one thing that many in the general public would have paid a nice premium for, it was the one thing that could have saved Pioneer's own production lines, and their bottom line.

with their "PROJECT KURO" which was supposed to be released in 2008.
Those displays were never supposed to come out in 2008. That is why they were call PROJECT kuro and labeled "Advance design CONCEPT" as seen in your first link. They were showing the goals of pioneer, and the future of next generation plasmas. None of the Project Kuro designs were capable of being manufactured on a large scale that year. The infinite black project kuro would have been released this year at best, and the sub on inch plasma most likely had a 2010 release date.
Wow thats awesome, but how many iPhones long is it? And how many iPhones does it cost? ;)
So it's .33" around the bezel then? It'd thicker at the bottom and then the black section is obviosuly thicker so the claim isn't very honest or technical.
I have a 72" LCD that's a foot deep. I wouldn't want anything thinner than that. I dont want to go to push the power button and split it in half. It is stupid to have a TV so thin.
Did you see the Chinese man with the Video camera in picture four. This means a China company is in the process of copying the design right now as I type .
Any information about power consumption in use and standby?
