You aren't first, Panasonic is first: First to release a portable DVD player back in the late 1990's and first to release a portable BLU-RAY player.
On the other hand; you sir, have placed last at every thing you do in life. Which explains why you get so excited over being the first to post over something most 4-6 olds would just brush off on. Grow up.
Blu-ray in a portable player = Pointless
What about for people who, like me, only own Blu-rays?
Optical media is never optimal for portable devices imo.
What's the point of whatching 1080p on a portable screen
And the weight of this just puts me off !

i think this is a great idea, and a good move forward in making blu ray the dominant player. i doubt that little screen is 1080p though, cause that would be ridiculous. the article says that it can "pump out 1080p content", leading me to believe that it can be hooked up to an HDTV for full HD. bravo Panasonic for being the first
Lack of high hopes is evident in your lack of Panasonic coverage.
A portable Blu-ray player was inevitable - at least it's smaller than the original portable DVD players (one of which my local Wal Mart is still trying to sell for $350).
the battery life must be atrocious.
