Memorex introduces TouchMP portable media player

Memorex's portable media players aren't exactly always attention-grabbers, but it looks like the company's new TouchMP model could be a slight exception, if only for the fact that it's a full-on touchscreen PMP for $99 (and no doubt less after retailers start their usual discounting). For that price, you'll get a 2.8-inch QVGA display, along with 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot for additional expansion, an FM radio, and all the usual media playback options, including podcast support. Somewhat notably, the device is also "adaptable" to both portrait or landscape modes, although it's not clear if it actually makes use of an accelerometer or not. Look for this one to hit all the usual sources sometime in March.

looks like a good alternative to the ipod nano
It looks like a GREAT alternative to the Nano.
I never expected anything this awesome from Memorex (I remember I bought a CD player from them for $10...it stopped working a week later).
not bad for a stocking stuffer.,remember memorex has no true remote control docks.,ipod has globalized that which is A GOOD THING FOR ALL US CONSUMERS,IHOME HAS A 75$ REMOTE CONTROL IPOD DOCK with subwoofer n 2 base rechargeable removable speakers.,no other mp3 format on the planet can say that....
No it's Eeiy.
Not bad, not bad at all....
its cheap and not bad for a touch screen or 8 gig, but im not a memorex guy, this is great for kids thou, when they want a ipod touch you can slap there little hand away and say to them, "don't ever join a cult" and buy them one of these
It looks pretty nice. The inclusion of a card slot...any card slot...is awesome. Did you hear that Apple? Now, if it only had stereo BT. The ecosystem is not as good for this as it is for the ipod. The closest mp3 player ecosystem to the ipod is the Sandisk Sansa and even that is way behind. Still it looks like well designed product.
I"m sorry to hear about your retardation. I hope you'll get better Eeiy.
tell me, where is the samsung p2 $99? and don't say ebay
