If I buy a new TV its going to be a 50" LED backlit one. No reason to buy a another CFL backlit TV when I already have a 42" Philips. Sure I can buy a new Sansung or Sony that is a bit blacker but not one that is worth the money I would pay for it over my current set.
With Vizio making a LED backlit set Sharp really needs to get a mainstream one out quick.
