Unrelated candid photo aside... it's no lie: if you've managed to load
Android onto your device, no matter how lame it may seem, you're probably a good looking person. Not only that, but you might've built Touch Revolution's NIMBLe, which is a billed as a Home Touch Phone, but runs the Android OS and holds a full 7-inch touchscreen. The most basic functionality is that of a speakerphone, but obviously Android -- along with the built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity -- opens this up to so much more functionality. Touch Revolution is actually dabbling in all sorts of hardware and software configurations, building a "Touch Device Development Platform" for farming out to companies for all sorts of purposes. Current builds include 600MHz StrongARM or greater processors, 128MB of RAM, 512MB of flash memory, SD card slots, 4.3-inch, 7-inch or 10-inch LCDs, 2 megapixel cameras and up to 800 x 480 resolutions. The unit we played with seemed responsive and only a
little bit pointless, and we look forward to seeing this sort of thing hit the market -- we know MC Hammer would agree. Action video is after the break.

"Pumps and a Bump. Pumps and a Bump. We like the girls with a Pumps and a Bump"
Hammer Time !!!
Gotta love the guy though. He was just a bit misguided. But, he's a good guy.
God bless Hammer.
Phil @ Jan 8th 2009 11:18PM
How is this pointless at all? I can see this sprouting up in offices everywhere, and even possibly starting a trend. Who doesn't want an office phone with a giant touchscreen, text messaging, full browser, email, wifi, not to mention android apps could turn it into your own personal display for football scores or whatever.
The more I think about it, the more awesome this sounds?
Plus with bluetooth you just hook up a wireless headset, which replaces the generic wired headset you see on secretaries everywhere...
STINK @ Jan 8th 2009 11:21PM
Yah, this is office cubicle gold.
Hackettman @ Jan 9th 2009 9:47AM
Yeah I remember years ago people were theorizing about an all windows or all mac future where its seeming that its going to be all open source simplistic design future....... I can see these in all the offices too and homes galore with VOIP phones that are foldable and crap......
Futures so bright I gotta wear shades........ ( I deserve a low rank for that comment)
Greg Mcp @ Jan 8th 2009 11:26PM
I'm gonna be the one to ask a really lame question.
That guy really is MC Hammer?
If so, that's kinda.... sad.
eggothewaffle @ Jan 8th 2009 11:27PM
God, that is so racist, Greg Mcp!
DB @ Jan 8th 2009 11:32PM
Is that really Bill Brown?
Rob @ Jan 9th 2009 12:48AM
I'm pretty sure that's Hammer. "If so, that's kinda.... sad." Why you say that? He looks good. What? Don't tell me you expected him to still walk around with the sparkly flashy pants and flat top hair style.
shugg @ Jan 9th 2009 1:53AM
@EGGOTHEWAFFLE,leave it up to eggothewaffle to add a racist remark, or bring out racist accusations. not the first time he known for that.
Esat Dedezade @ Jan 9th 2009 4:59AM

chris @ Jan 9th 2009 1:04AM
what the shit? hammer gone geek?
Arkenklo @ Jan 9th 2009 6:07AM
I don't think he knows the Nimble is there, the guy probable asked him to take a picture of him and Hammer, and then quickly pulled up the Nimble right before the photo was shot.
shugg @ Jan 9th 2009 1:53AM
So hammer carries an iphone around ,cool. Heard he apple fanboi. ok white guys see its not that bad to be called apple fanbois.relax yall too uptight.
sr @ Jan 9th 2009 2:02AM
If it had a bluetooth headset mounted to it to pull out and talk, I would get it as a picture frame, with access to weather and phone to put around the house. If I had a house.
Michael Leung @ Jan 9th 2009 3:32AM
MC Hammer in a tie? You're shitting me!
phrank @ Jan 9th 2009 8:26AM
Hammer? Meh. I mean, he was cool and all but I just don't feel he was Funky Enough.
I won't buy any giant touchscreen landlines unless they're D.O.C.tor approved.
Prhime @ Jan 9th 2009 9:08AM
