SlingCatcher updates reportedly on the way, cheers heard all over
Sling Media's SlingCatcher has been hampered since release due to a few software limitations, but according to ZatzNotFunny, project manager Matthew Feinstein has confirmed that both Slingbox PRO-HD high-def / networked drive streaming are on the way sometime this quarter. Supposedly, resolutions are expected to get bumped from 640 x 480 to 1,280 x 540, with the ultimate goal of hitting 1,920 x 1,080. We're also told that UPnP support could be in the cards, and that OS X, SlingSync and SlingProjector software is in development. Mmm, tasty.

I'm only going to be interested once it comes out with HDMI 1.3, and can pass-through TruHD/DTS-HD MA.

1280 x 540?
Seems like an odd resolution.

64:27 aspect ratio does seem kinda odd.

slingmedia has the most buggy software ever seen. They are more concerned with hitting the small apple mac and iphone market, then making 95% of everyone elses software work as advertised. Sling projector stops your desktop sound from working at all (mutes your entire system) and doesn't work with blueray or hddvd playback.

My catcher updated last week. Had better video performance, losing a bit on the audio side.
Haven't played with the slingsync.
I would like it if they had codes for the remote to program to tv' and dvd' players instead of the bear you deal with now programming the remote.
Being able to control the PC with the sling remote is a welcome addition.
