WTF yes I will admit that its nice but for 900 bucks whats the point.
Normal Sony rip off, but I agree it looks nice!
The point is if you are a Powerpoint jockey, where your job is basically to travel around and give presentations, all you want is something that does the basic stuff and stays out of your way. Plus, you could actually use this sucker on an airplane when the guy in front of you reclines his chair, without having to jab the laptop into your torso.
that being said, i'm not their target demo, i need a real desktop replacement and I don't mind lugging around a 10 pounder to get it.

Obviously no company wants to call things netbook because the owners of the trademark 'netbook' are suing right now, and not because it isn't a netbook, did engadget staff miss that? They keep suggesting it's just for some personal/marketing reason they suddenly don't want to call things netbook.

so ive been thinking about this and i mean it wholeheartedly. engadget's coverage of CES this year has been nothing short of fantastic. with the Pre unveiling and all of the liveblogging of the keynotes, and now an interview with a tv personality, all i can say is bravo guys! well done! josh, nilay, and all the rest of you, my hat's off. anybody else with me on this?

I'm glad Engadget did as much Palm Pre coverage as they did, because it was so amazing! Sometimes when they do that to Apple products, it can be annoying (and I'm a Mac user), but for Palm Pre it was rightly deserved.

Yeah, I would totally watch that engaget as the jack hanna of gadgets segment for his new show. If jimmy can pull off the whole new gadget testing like letterman does the cooking or new toys segments, even better.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always thought VAIO's were overpriced pieces of crap. Maybe this has changed in recent years? Lenovo/Dell/Asus always seemed like much better systems to me. I don't buy fashion gadgets though.

Jimmy Fallon actually knows his s**t when it comes to gadgets. Like 8 years ago I ran an AT&T / VoiceStream store on 49th btwn 6 and 7 ave down the block from NBC. Jimmy Fallon bought a Palm Treo 270c from me. I got him a number that spelled Jimmy in it lol. Nice guy and no surprise he would buy Palm stock
