Dell Mini 10 hands-on
We just caught up with the Dell Mini 10, and while it's not as crazy hot as the white Adamo, it's still pretty sweet -- much nicer looking than the Mini 9, and more compact than the Mini 12. No wonder Dell's calling it a "perfect 10." The multitouch trackpad is really similar to the one on the newest Macbooks, but it's a little less intuitive -- the buttons are pushed into the corners, so a middle press doesn't do a lot. On the other hand, it's a little more useful -- not only can you do the usual zooming and scrolling, laying three fingers on the pad brings up a slick little launcher screen. Too bad we don't have pricing or availability -- if this thing comes in at a reasonable number, it's going to be our favorite netbook. We stacked the 10 up against the 9, the 12, and a MacBook Air, check it all out in the gallery below!

"cuban, the paris hilton of tech", most 720p (aka 1080i) TVs are 1366x768. I know, I know, it's stretching of 720p. But that's how it is.
Engadget,
either up your aperture and increase the ISO/ASA, or get a flashgun.
You have been warned.
By golly it looks like it has a full sized shift key. Now tell me it has a six-cell battery and costs under $499.
Is that HDMI I see?! I can barely believe it. If this comes out as good as it seems to be I'm gonna be all over it. I'm playing the waiting game right now.
Picture sucks
I love this Mini 10 from Dell - awesome looking little machine and great specs... this will be my first netbook.
Engadget, thanks for the photos and the coverage, but fellas, do we really need half a dozen photos that are essentially the same (e.g.: the Mini 10 sitting on the Mini12), and blurry pics (#22 of 24)? Just sayin'...
It's bezeltacular. It's a fingerprint magnet, as well.

From the pictures, there is an HDMI port, and it will also be available with Ubuntu !!
Laptop Magazine says its an HDMI port. Course I'm betting they're wrong, and its a DisplayPort (D and P superimposed on each other as the logo), which would allow dongles for HDMI or VGA... The Adamo clearly has a DisplayPort from the pictures on notebookreview.com, and I assume this must also be DP if it isn't VGA...
I really like how the keyboard goes right to the edge of the netbook. I hope they have these at a store to test drive.
SHOT THE CAMERA GUY.. or send him to an art studio, this it TECH stuff and we want to see details not BLUR EFFECTS.. what an IDIOT! Otherwise, from what we can see of it, looks good.. larger keyboard although I can't tell and it wasn't said if it was 100% or 93% scale, pictures didn't help. Can't see how many USB ports in the almost totally black side shot. My personal favorite netbook right now is the Lenovo S10, but that could turn into my send choice if the price is right on the Dell mini 10. Time will tell.
Is there an option for Linux instead of Windows? Will the Linux version again be crippled (e.g. less SSD space as in the Mini 9)?
Most important: Is there a matte screen option available? Glare and reflections on glossy displays hurt the usability of a portable device, especially working outside, on the train, or elsewhere you do not have control over the lighting situation.
I never thought that I'd say this about a Dell product, BUUUT I really am thinking about buying this little Dell!
The release date is February 27, 2009.

When is the 720p version with GPS going to come out? Does anyone have any idea?
