Actually I didn't have to watch the video to understand that Engadget was "Apple friendly" but for sure this video proves it.
It seems Engadget does not properly represent the real world of computer users..
We real gadget lovers know we don't want to be limited to a Mac.... this video obviously shows Engadget employees are not really geeks at all...
While Engadget is interesting and one of my favorite blogs, I'd like to see some insight from some real nerds... not wannabes...
Welcome to 2008, when owning a Mac is cool. We know your travels from 1995 have been harrowing. Sit down. Have some water. See, Mac OS X is *nix operating system with a pretty GUI. It's stable, it has cool apps, and it has all the power you need. It makes Linux look like a half-finished shed and Windows like a Tonka toy. It sits on the world's most well-constructed and pretty laptops. The only reason not to own one is cost.
Umn... it's 2009.
and not just cost, but wanting to choose your own hardware, open-ness (linux), compatibility, software...
They weren't advertising macbooks, they were just working; it's a good computer for what they do. No matter what engadget uses people would make a big deal about it. get over it. half of the laptops you see on tv shows and movies are macbooks.
Actually in the photos on of the laptops had a ubuntu stick on it :P

Where are all the backpacks? I know you guys all have bags because you all carry at least 25 cellphones and countless gadgets, and yet I see almost no bags in the pictures, one bag next to the guy in picture 12, that's it.

Why do the photos look like they were scanned with some old-school technology? The photos seem pixelated and the quality is weak.
I agree. I would expect Engadget workers know how to select the right gadgets and know how to use them.
The video and pictures were taken from a crap-gadget.

cool looking setup, but I gotta say when you took a picture of all the equipment i noticed that all of the macs were emphasized in some way, whether it being open when all were closed, the iphone being by itself in the middle, etc.
Now back to CES, slaves!

I would like to know about the logistics of moving a double-wide trailer around. Does it come in to parts and is assembled on site? How do you guys manage your internet connection(s)? Do you each have your own wireless subscription? Are you plugged into the conference center by fiber or Ethernet? Or is it a combination of both?

Sides wind in and you drive it away. Simple really. Take care to remove furniture and Vaios from areas that will be 'wound' away.

Next time one of you is in the UK, I'll organise a tour of the largest OB unit in Europe. HD goodness all round.

I love Veronica Belmont..she´s so sweet...
Again, Engadget seems to be incapable of using a cam that has image stabilization technology in it. This is made even more ironic by the fact this is recorded a few hundred feet from a building filled with them. Perhaps thats why Engadget loves covering Apple, they are waiting for iLife 09' to be released so they can stabilize the video in post-production. ^.~
Crappy video is pretty normal for what you see on the net nowadays. Although video quality can be amazing with the new technology, the new wave of "videographers" out there have no clue as to how to shoot. Seizure-inducing camera moves are pretty much what you get.
