If only Darren Murph (OP) had read the article he would have understood that Kamen was speaking in generalizations about being an entrepreneur and did not mention the Segway specifically.

@nimbo: Yes, he did completely misinterpret the article, but I'm not surprised.
@BigBirdUK: No, he wasn't speaking hypothetically. He was speaking generally about entrepreneurship and inventing. Dean Kamen has a lot more going for him than just the Segway.
