Caption Contest: unofficial Obama MP4 player is officially awesome

Paul: "Yes we can buy cheap Chinese iPod knockoffs!"
Chris: "Introducing the iPod hussein."
Tim: "Sadly the John McCain gramophone was deemed too risky for today's economic conditions."
Laura: "There's not a Zune America and an iPod America. There's a United States of generic Obama MP4 player America."
Nilay: "They would give it an African name, DIGITAL MP4 PLAYER, believing that in a tolerant America a terrible interface and weird format support are no barrier to success."
Joe: The Audacity of KIRF
Richard: "Whew, for a second people thought he was using a Zune again"
Josh: "On Obama's Digital MP4 Player, it's not shuffle. It's change."
Ross: "Next on the O'Reilly Factor: is president-elect Barack Obama funneling funds through a Shenzhen, China-based shell company?"
Sean: "Who is that black bald guy anyway?"*
*Sean is Canadian, we can't take responsibility for him or his silly little country.

Huh? People make negative comments about the US all the time. I am an American, and from what I have read we are:
- Infidels
- Rich jerks who care only about ourselves
- Selfish (even though we pay out billions a year to other countries)
- Racists
- Idiots
Anyone care to list other things you've heard Americans called?
LOL, I wish there was a commercial about this saying "Own a piece of history with the Obama MP4 player, for a limited time only!"
Pretty much. Just like after 9/11, people always figure out a way to plaster something timely/popular/tragic/etc. onto anything they can find in order to make a buck. It's the American way I guess.
Which washed up early 90's trash talkshow host should they get to be the spokesperson? Montel Williams is unavailable.
Actually, wouldn't this be the Chinese way?
I got the catchphrase
"YES WE CAN... PLAY MP4's"
I think I saw that ad, along with the Obama-Kennedy Half Dollar. Just $29.95.99.99.95 (each)
Notice the black MP3 player is standing at the back of the line.
@imacmatt09: We're not.
"Made in china!"
Everyone knows Obama uses a Zune

I wasn't even going to check the responses here because I knew it'd be more of a, "You stupid American!" rhetoric. I read you're response and thought "Wow, a good rebuttal! Stating actual points not things they picked up from a tabloid! And free of meaningless insults!" I was disappointed now when I reread your post to see your ending. But, I suppose you're entitled due to my ignorant ending (which was on purpose due to the insults aimed at the USA)
So let me respond to your "Ignorant ass" statement first. I am not 100% native american. Though you could make the same argument for Canadians, having French roots and all. I'm actually Italian American, so my roots ARE some of the most corrupt. Italy has, and especially when my family left in the mid 1800's, had some of the hardest time ousting organized crime from power. I've spent time in Europe, I've spent time in South America. So when I see what it could be like, and where we are, like you say Mike "I'm proud to be the lucky American I am today" I feel the same!
Ok, I'm getting bored with this so I'm not going to give responses to everything like why my name uses Quote instead of Quoth, or how USA is one of the most helpful (check aid money and food), and how having an opinion in favor of your country hardly makes you a "douchbag" I believe it was. Or a history lesson on Revolutionary America. Or a lesson on wars fought and parties involved. I'll get to my real point and rebuttal.
I never claimed the USA to be the ONLY country to achieve the things from my previous post. I only claimed that the did it faster than Europe (Our roots). That we have over come many large obstacles, that our founding as a nation in and of itself is something to be proud of. That the United States was pretty much the main player to usher in the industrial age.
But what I don't understand is, and Mike since you seemed to be the most level headed maybe you can clarify this. Why is it when a Canadian/European/Asian is proud of their history and country they are "Proud", but when an American is "Proud to be an American" it's arrogance? I want to know what have I done to be arrogant? Because I enjoy the heritage that my family has struggled and fought for, died for, why does that make me arrogant. You know what, I know Canada is a wonderful place, as is Spain, China, Israel etc etc. And the people there SHOULD be proud. But you know what, so should I. To all the good Canadians that read this and didn't resort to the name calling and idiocy, to you, I apologize. For kicking back at those the named called U.S. I retract my hat comment and anything else negative that is derived from my statements about Canada. It's not what I truly believe. But everything I've said about the United States of America is what I believe! And I am still Proud to be an American.
And to make the post topical and why I started reading the comments (Which I never do and probably never will again! lol)
Caption? Nick Saban: "NO! I said I want 5 million 'Bama MP4 players"
Watch yourself, I'm also Canadian .
Clearly Canadian.
How does it feel to be a hat?
didnt know hats could talk
Canada is USA 2.0. We're just glad you guys are back on the right track ;-)
I'm quite honestly surprised that Canada finally got the Internet
We're bigger, and we're on top - if this was prison USA would be our
bitch
There were probably more Canadian Obama supporters then American ones..
Oh...really? I'm sorry. {/sarcasm}
@Agent .25i
"#1 Canada has a way larger land mass." And how much of that land mass is useful?
"I'm sure you can say I'm proud o be an American, but its an arrogant pride..."
Spoken like a jealous hat. Arrogant pride? Derived from? Oh yeah, the whole heritage of pioneering a new land. Rebelling from tyranny, being the underdog, AND winning. Of knowing what's right and wrong and helping distressed nations and peoples regardless of whether it's "popular" with those the say "mwah mwah arrogant pride arrogant pride, bunch of overweight ruffians they are. No business being there".Arrogant because even though things maybe stacked against us The United States doesn't roll over and just take it? Arrogant because our nation, even though we aren't perfect, in our short 232 years of being a nation have become one of the strongest, economically successful, and most importantly HELPFUL nations in the world? Then by damned if I'm not proud to be an American. Lets see if England or your root nation of France, or Spain, or ANY European nation can lay claim to the success American backs have built in such a short time.
Arrogant to be an American, Arrogant to be Non-Canadian.
They should put that on a hat.
@everyone; Ignore "Quote the Raven". He's not even really American, hes Mr. Douche from the county known as Douchebagia.
"and most importantly HELPFUL nations in the world? " LOL..denial at its best. I could say a lot on this topic..BUT..this is a freakin tech blog! Keep your politics and bigotry outta here. Lets all just enjoy some wholesome goodness that is Engadget.
@ the quote the raven.
You've proven my point so effortlessly. Good for you.
There is nothing you have written there that cant be said for ANY modern/first world country. The fact that you seem to believe the the USA is the only country to have ever achieved feats such as the ones you list, is proof of the arrogance I was speaking of.
@Quotetheraven (actually I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Quoth the raven, but that's a whole other discussion)
Win? Yes, we were the underdogs in the Revolutionary war, but I'm pretty sure you're deluding yourselves. We were lucky. Britain was busy with other wars, and, while we were annoyingly hearty, we did NOT win hands down. We simply held on until they got tired of trying to take over. If Britain had not had any other international conflicts, we would have been toast.
However, you are correct in saying that we are one of the most financially successful countries, and that we were certainly the first to be run entirely by a democracy.
However, Canada is a great, clean country, and the fact that we have an open border with them is awesome! To have that kind of trust between nations is truly a special thing. They have top of the line health care, and some people who have dual citizenship will actually go back across the border to treat diseases like cancer because of the fact that it's less expensive and they have top of the line doctors (not that we don't here, I'm just saying).
True story: Someone I know was doing a running race across the upper border of the U.S. and Southern Canada, and when they all went from the U.S. to Canada, all the Canadians were welcoming them to Canada and gave them free drinks. As they were leaving Canada, they got yelled at by some border patrol troops from America about showing their numbers (guess it's not really that open of a border).
I'm proud to be the lucky American I am today. I would certainly never take for granted the time that we were given to establish ourselves as a proper country, and then go on to be the top industrial country in the world.
Finally, your ancestors came from those other countries. Unless you are pure blood Native American. Ignorant ass.
don't anger Kersh, the internet tough guy!
I think we can all agree that North America is the finest continent in the Solar System.
"ay claim to the success American backs have built in such a short time."
not from Europe but you'd better start learning quickly mate. I would rather be stuck in the dark ages than be a patriot to a country as corrupt and unfair as the USA. Good work on the past 100 years of killing innocents guys, but hay because you killed them over time and not all at once you guys are so much better than Russia. It's probably not such a good idea to talk about success in this period of time your still under one of the smartest swindlers in the universe control your good friend George W.

"A chicken in every pot and an Digital MP4 player in every ear!"
Obama MP3 Player, heavily subsidized and heavily taxed.
It'll cost you .99¢ but the taxes will be in the thousands. The Private sector can provide a better MP3 player for less.
If you want this, better buy it now before serious import quotas kick in.
Heil der fuhrer!
I want "THAT ONE"
Wonderful. I was deciding whether to get an R4DS and install moonshell, but this is precisely what I need.
[/sarcasm] Obama's cool, though.
The R4 doesn't play mp4's nor does it have obama's face on it
... when in Rome?
yes, please go on
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!?!?!?
Oli D gets it for the correct followup to the Anchorman reference.
