Helio Ocean 2 finds itself in Mr. Blurrycam's hands
Our friend Mr. Blurrycam has come through once again, this time with a handful of Helio Ocean 2 snapshots. Aside from a blurry close-up of the on-screen calendar, there isn't much here that we haven't already seen in finer detail from the FCC. It's apparently got a 3 megapixel camera, which is what we reported initially but not what was listed in the FCC-submitted user manual. Our tipster says it's expected to launch early or mid-February for release, which jives with other rumors we've heard. Hit up the gallery for more pics.

Some say that his hand are made of gold and that he only speaks in binary - all we know is that he's called Mr Blurrycam
Oh how we love thee.
can Mr. Blurrycam drive really really fast and wearing a white helmet?..............LOL
The Stig would kick Mr. Blurrycam's rear end.
You, sir, show the need for a "Highest Ranked EVAR" ranking on Engadget.
Also, how the hell can Mr. Blurrycam always get access to the latest gear, as long as the latest gear isn't a HALF DECENT CAMERA?
+1 for Nicely designed illuminated keypad.
why the hell cant anyone take a picture?
That's what you get for using an iPhone camera...
fixed.
I hope the interface is drastically changed or something... b/c the general design of this is exactly the same as my first gen Ocean. I didn't ever have any complaints about the device... it's the software that needs some serious help.
Just waiting until May when my contract is up anyway... then I'm getting some fruity phone.
Yeap, it looks like the original, even if it has a new OS, I probably will stay away from the small screen and the bad internet browser it has. Even with the Opera, it still didn't help much, can't compare to the experience on iPhone. I will look into the new Palm Pre for sure when my contract is over.
Needs more Android.
I'm still waiting for something good to do with my original Ocean. Between the phones OS being awful and their service sucking (good luck with data in Dallas on a Friday or Saturday night) I dropped them so fast my head is still spinning.
Keep hoping one day to see someone at least figured out how to install some MP3 player software that doesn't suck on it or even maybe Android someday..... at least then it wouldn't feel like a total waste.
Yeah... I had Helio for 30 days. Crap, I didn't even know Helio was still out there.
The Ocean was decent for what it was... 2 years ago. But if the Ocean 2 is anything like the 1st Ocean... even with updated OS, it's not going to cut it today.
And nevermind that Helio service in itself sucked balls and their customer service was horrible. That's why I took advantage of that 30 day guarantee and got the hell out of there. It's too bad... I was really hoping to find a good alternative to the major corporations.
Hey... also... isn't the Ocean 1 available at At&t anyway? The Pantech Duo? Pantech makes the Ocean and the Duo just looked like a re-badged Ocean from what I could see. In other words... this Ocean 2 might be available on other carriers eventually.
I've played with both. They are not quite the same IMO but very close. The AT&T one feels a lot cheaper to me. But it does have the advantage of running WinMo (Ocean OS is so bad that WinMo is a good alternative to me, SCARY)
Isn't it time for someone should buy Mr. Blurrycam a new camera.
hahaha I have been dubbed "Mr. Blurrycam" , classic. I took this with my iPhone actually, really horrible lighting. I was at a basketball court with 30 foot flood lights. I'll try to get better pics if I see my friend again.
I KNEW it was an iPhone camera!
2005 called, they want their tech spec back. Bye bye helio, bye bye
This phone better be free....
Blurry cam man, Blurry cam man, if he can't sharpen it no one can!
Pppppfffllllllltttttttttttt!
