I have a 3 yr contract and thought I might go ahead and drop them (I've heard enough Ad Council ads to last me an eternity). I sat on immediate hold for 22 minutes and finally gave up. And here I sit, still subscribed.....
When I canceled my XM subscription it took less than 5 minutes, with a minimum of hassle. They tried to offer me a reduced rate to stay, but even that wasn't worth it.
I've NEVER heard a commercial on Sirius. Maybe XM had them, but On the 6 channels I listen to (mainly rock) there are absolutely 0 commercials. I don't regret paying for that privilege.
I cancelled my credit card. It was that simple. Then, the XM jackasses that they are had the nerve to send my account to collections. When I got it, I called the XM legal office and told them that - in case they all had a mental midget moment, they bill one month in advance. I proceeded to tell their legal assistant that if I received one more notice from a collection agency that I would sue them and own them and their bratty kids as well. Its been 4 years and I never received one ounce more of anything from those bastards. F- them all. I hope their world comes tumbling around them like it does for every other crook in these bad times! Great thing about bad times is that it exposes the crap people like bird droppings on a new car.

Talk radio, fellas. While I love the Boneyard, I gotta hear some talk radio on the commute. XM music (mostly) is commercial free.
