Mili Phonesuit Power Pack for iPhone adds some style, weight to your device

Sure, iPhone chargers are a dime a dozen, and most of them are a snore-fest, we know. Mili's just-rolled-out Phonesuit Power Pack is eye-catching enough to bring to your attention though. The spiffy looking charger is packing an 1,800 mAh battery which supposedly gives up to 350 hours of standby time, 6 hours of talk / browsing (3G), 12 hours of EDGE use. The only mildly interesting feature of the device is the mini USB port which allows you to charge a device other than your iPhone. This baby comes in 8 designs, and it's going to run you about $80 if you want to nab one.

Now if it also has a integrated dock connector, it would be pretty nice.
CraigJ @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:34PM
Well, you can charge and sync with the mini usb port on the bottom, and you can charge other devices with the USB out port, but I want to put the whole thing in my iHome clock radio, but no can do with this one. No integrated dock connector is a fail.

Nice, but it will really be cool when Apple or another company release a game pad extension with a built in battery, and kill two birds with one stone.
AVG @ Jan 23rd 2009 11:46AM
A game pad extension. For your iPhone. I can't imagine a way to look like a bigger tool.

I don't know... maybe naming yourself after anti-virus software??

Phonesuit up!

I wish they would add a2dp to something like this, then I could get an iPhone.

$80 is steep. I think you'll see these in the bargain bin next year for $20.
CraigJ @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:37PM
I don't see it as that steep. 1800 mAh batteries are typically over $40. This has one of those, electronics for charging and power management, the ability to charge other devices, and also acts as a case.
If it had an integrated dock connector I'd probably get one for $80.
webmaster @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:56PM
Really? Maybe I'm no judge. I still can't believe I pay $2.40 for a slice of piazza!!
Wasn't it less than a dollar recently???
And 90 cents for a plain bagel - nothing on it.
Ugggh - just looking at those prices makes me mad.
Things should never be more expensive than the first time you buy it.
Matt @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:34PM
$80?! No thanks.
Also, what's the point of the colors? The phone is going to cover up that part anyway.
Fanfoot @ Jan 23rd 2009 6:12PM
Crap, I was going to say the same thing. Colors on the inside ONLY? The things appear to be either gray or black on the outside. Huh?
CraigJ @ Jan 23rd 2009 12:34PM
spam is fail.
BDizzleFizzle @ Jan 23rd 2009 1:26PM
Well, considering it looks a lot like the Mophie product that sells for $100, I think it's a good price. However, it looks too much like the Mophie product...to the point that I thought Mophie had changed their name.
Shaun @ Jan 23rd 2009 2:15PM
Are the usage stats in addition to what you already get in terms of battery life? If so, that's not so shabby...
bernardino @ Jan 23rd 2009 4:41PM
If one of these iphone battery accessories included adding connectivity using the missing bluetooth profiles (A2DP, etc) to the iPhone, I would be all over this.
Danny @ Jan 23rd 2009 8:27PM
I wish they had something like this for my HTC Diamond.
