Real good. If we didn't know any better, we'd assume the HTO HD was a bona fide original, and even though we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this thing is a direct rip of HTC's
MAX 4G, we're still itching to hold one. In fact, the lucky crew over at Engadget Chinese were able to do just that, and they've hosted up a hands-on gallery to prove it. Specs wise, the handset features a 4-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera (with AutoFocus), 8GB of internal storage, an SDHC expansion slot, digital TV tuner, GPS / FM radio modules, Bluetooth, WiFi and a standard 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. Availability is still unknown (big shock there, right?), though it'll reportedly be priced around 3,000 Chinese yuan, or $439 in greenbacks. In other words, this really might be the most expensive, high quality knockoff we've seen to date. Hit the read link and decide for yourself.

Now this, which looks definitely like the HTC Max 4G...
True. It resembles the HTC MAX a lot more than the Touch HD. Just look at the square form factor and sharp cut.
Bloody beautiful. I'd love to have Android or WebOS on that gorgeous screen...
I own an HTC touch HD and I promise: it looks nothing like the thing in the pic.
Specs wise this HTO seems also better endowed than the my HTC, starting with the screen which is a full inch bigger.
The materials its made of also look better, as a matter of fact the all thing looks better and of course very different from my HTC touch HD.
Its actually only 0.2 inch bigger (3.8 vs 4.0), not 3G/HSDPA, has a huge border and looks pretty thick.
It's a replica of the HTC MAX..... either Engadget thought the max wasn't famous enough to refer to it, or they were too lazy to remember who it looked like.
