Colorware gets ahold of BlackBerry Curve 8900
It was inevitable, really. RIM's BlackBerry Curve 8900 is now being offered up by the paint gun-wielding fools at Colorware, who will gladly ugly up your handset as you see fit. 'Course, you can put together a rather striking piece of work too, but make sure you get a second opinion on your dream color scheme before mashing the buy button. As for costs? A solid coat will run you a buck twenty-nine, but if you change up the top, bottom, frame or sides, you can count on that figure inching higher and higher.

I don't get the point of this coloring stuff. It's so ugly.
No kidding. Butt pimple ugly.
Looks like a digivice to me.
wow,so bb and colorware are partnering up to dethrone the iphone. how pathetic.
Ugh. That looks ghastly.
For some things, Colorware could be nice, but the Blackberry Curve looks absolutely amazing as it is.
Well, not as amazing as the Bold, anyway.
The Bold is the definition of perfection, style-wise.
Colorware fails again
Wow! $1.29 is cheap for Colorware! Now I just need to get ahold of a Blackberry curve.
pretty sure its $129 but engadget does make it seem like its only $1.29. I dont know if its a horrible error on engadgets part or if they tried to do something i didnt get. If it was a buck twenty nine of colorwear id get anything and everything i could colored.
Have you guys seriously never heard anyone use the term 'buck' to refer to $100?
I dont know how Colorware stays afloat - I have never seen a 'colorwared' ANYTHING in person... Maybe they are staying alive through website hits. I know ive been on there a few times wondering 'how sweet would a white ps3 look?'
Corporate Branding, maybe?
Who photoshopped that? An elementary school kid?
Colorware did that. It's a screenshot of their fantastic [/sarcasm] online color picker chooser doowhooper.
If only it wasn't that expensive i would've gotten a few of my gadgets colored up.
I dunno. I think the Colorware'd Mac keyboards look pretty snazzy. No worse than some of the stuff Alienware makes.
I think I would like my HTC touch HD in bright red or even lemon yellow; all black is kinda... black, d' you know wattamean?
Well, if you don't want it, I'd be very happy to take it off your hands!
pinkberry?
I like red and the price is relatively cheap.
Coloring a Blackberry anything but black is like a Thinkpad in a color other than black,.
i can see the blackberry posers lining up for this one already.
buck twenty-nine = $129 not to be taken literally to mean $1.29 duh
Am I the only one that thinks an "Ugliest Colorware Combination" contest would be both amusing and horrifying?
how colorfullll
looks nice IMO
looks nice IMO
Nice and tacky!
ColorWare orders equipment from third party dealers, and sell the end consumer stolen products! Trust me, I tried to purchase a colored Blackberry Bold, and received not one, but two stolen devices in a row! I found out they were stolen when trying to get the Bold onto the Blackberry server. I had a RIM employee contact me, telling me that I was in possession of stolen property. COLORWARE CAN SUCK MY B@LLS!
If only I could just purchase a colourwared 8900 on it's own not unlocked, shame!
looks like it was made for super mario
IF I would use a service like this, it wouldn't be colorware (by the way that red color is ugly). I would use a site like SkinIt or something. SkinIt would allow you to make a more attractive and visually pleasing "skin" than fire engine red up above. Wait is that red and white or red and silver? Either way, its fugly.
They've not heard of the word 'subtle' then.
Then again, I imagine neither have their customers.
check this out too, "subtle" game" by BlackBerry - too long! but can win some cool prizes?
www.artofsmart.co.uk
would help if i put in correct url http://www.artofsmartchallenge.co.uk/
sorry
ColorWare: We make you void your warranty to make your gadgets look like crap!
Looks nice, now only if I had that red Ferrari California ????
http://www.atomicsub.net
how do they even come up with the color combinations they use? their whole site is awful. but could be awesome
FUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGLLLLLYYYY
you can go to www.imageware.no and design your own case for Blackberry and tons of other stuff.
Its a very cool site that lets you upload photos they will put on to the cases. The cases fit over the phone you already own.
