I hope these cameras have the same sensor and processor as the Panasonic G1. It took Pansonic a good long time of making overly noisy sensors processors to finally figure out how to do well. The review of the Panasonic G1 on dpreview looks pretty encouraging from an image quality standpoint. Their verdict was the G1 is about on par with the Canon Rebel XSi at all but the highest ISO setting. Like others here have mentioned though, the G1 seems to imitate an SLR shape when the micro 4/3 format seems ideally suited to the more rangefinder-like shape presented here. I've had plenty of big SLR outfits over the years and while they're fine if you're not moving around too much, it is no fun lugging around a big camera bag on vacation. If the image quality is there, then put me on the list as very interested!
