Nice looking case. Bet I could make a comparable model for half the price. OK that might be an exaggeration.
Holy carp the NVIDIA® Quadro CX is around $1500 at retail o0
it looks like a painted lian li a-20.

Once again the comment system fails and my post disappears.
Anyway, nice looking case but $400? Owwwch. Still, it's got a pretty crazy feature set. Liquid cooling is $$$.
NVIDIA® Quadro CX is around $1500 at retail, $2000 as an option ($500 for installing... wish I received $500 per card installed, I'd be richer than Billy Gates by now).
Simply because I dislike when the informative are not acknowledged, I would like to reiterate hoohoo's point that this is a painted lian li a20.
'it's NOT a mac'. - apple fans
Then why does it have an iPod included (on photo)?

not trying to be a MacDouche here.. but in all my experiences, working with Logic Pro is the best thing ever for audio. its more stable than Cakewalk or Acid or whatever... so i think this should be hackintosh'd. it'd probably yield very similar performance to a Mac Pro, so it'd be really cool. like a Hack Pro.
Obviously you have never tried Linux audio
Leaving my Linux nerdness aside, audio in Linux is awesome! Everything about as modular as it gets (with JACK, anything that has an output, can connect to anything that has an input, no matter what is it.. Think ReWire but with universal support), you can get 3ms latency with your onboard cheap audio "card", and quality is in the roof if you know what you're doing... LADSPA > VST|AU
Heck you don't even need the Linux part if you don't want it... I hear most of this stuff works in OSX too
then explain to me why Jack quits working half way through my projects on Ardour, which, by the way, shuts down randomly without any warning. just.. GONE. and then i have to re-open everything i was working on. It isn't stable for shit! maybe its because of the realtime kernel, maybe not.
Reply below, Engadget's comment system FTL
yes pls!
real workstations need power need xeon ...
Is there a i7-based Xeon out there yet? If not, i7 will beat most any Xeon's based on prior architectures.
If you're gonna get a workstation, spring for a Boxx.
Oh drat, bad luck...
The problem is yours though, because I've been working on a project with Ardour, JAmin, about 10 Jack Racks and Rosegarden for about 6 days now, without shutting down the computer, and everything is just as stable and fresh as the first day (on top on that I have Firefox, from wich I'm writting now)
I'm using an RT kernel, but Jack is not in realtime mode
I assume it needs to run *nix or a 64 bastard of Windows due to the RAM. Yay!
You can make that a Hackint0sh or *Nix that box and it'll totally be worthy of a good project.but then again..you could make the same Computer with *ALMOST* the same options and have it perform the same.
