Japanese minicar manufacturer Takeoka Jidosha Kogei's Milieu R is the perfect car for anti-social folks, featuring only one seat and a range of 50km that's just enough to make your commute while being limited enough to get you out of going to the bar afterward. Thus far those who socialize only with (very) small animals have been left out of the company's offerings, but that all changes with this new prototype, the T10. It's ever so slightly larger, gaining 90mm in length and 40mm in width, making room for a shelf to the left of the driver's seat intended for some sort of pet (we're guessing hamster, possibly a petite guinea pig). The other specs, including that 50 km range and top speed of 55 km/h, stay the same, meaning there'd still be no concerns about getting to work early or having to socialize afterward, but we're not sure its charming looks make up for a price tag set to be somewhere north of ¥856,000 (about $9,520); awfully close to that of a "real" car. At least it looks a little safer than the
HUVO.

for your knowledge this car is perfect for traffic, for crowded streets full of people like in tokyo, and a 40km speed is good nuff to take you to work and back home.

Sam, first let me commend you on commenting three times on one post, assuming that you are the same Sam from above. Second... let me tell you that you are a genius... imagine that the people posting on this site are Americans... I mean it is an American site, owned by an American company... but I still assumed that Americans wouldn't actually read it? I mean, Americans are all too stupid to read right? And even if we could read we wouldn't be able to see over our huge stomachs to even see the computer screen.
Sam, these cars would NOT work on American roads, not in the least. This little tike vs any SUV, or even a full sized car... you are gunna lose. And Sam, I have been a lot of places, Japan isn't one of them, so I don't know if this would work there, maybe it would, ill take your word for it. But Ill tell you this much, here in SAN FRANCISCO (that's right... I live in the city, and was born and raised here, I have never lived in the burbs, even though that's what you believe) this would still not work, if you live in the city you are going to take public transportation, if you are living in the burbs, then unless you were to drive this from your house to the bart station, then this wont have the range, and with a top speed of 30 mph you would be run off the roads outside of the city anyway.

If this car was made to be sold at no more than $4k I might consider it, but at 9.5k i'd rather add an extra 500$ and get a brand new kia (here in canada). Sure it might use gas but its only like 7L in city/100 km and can sit 4 people.

This is a japanese car that will be sold ONLY in japan, because japan has small street crowded with people, and "if" this car comes to europe then i would love to buy it, so i can cruse in the city with small streets. and im so happy for them (japanese) that they keep their quality product only for them, engadget only showed what new technology japanese have, they did not mention any thing about selling this car in the west.
4. This car has max 50 Km (not 30km) speed which is enough for driving in the city.
