I'm confused, this is slated for 2010 release... and D.C. is considered to be the target market for initial release? With what electric grid/support system to even do something as simple as plug in your car? I didn't see anywhere on the website to pre-order one of these, so I'm guessing the inital release is only going to be available to a select few.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.
