To stem the tide of leaks it seems Sony Ericsson has decided to release some of these rumored sets in advance of Mobile World Congress next week. The Sony Ericsson C901 is apparently touted as an emerging markets phone, -- though it looks a bit high end for the inexpensive market -- and is essentially the same as the C903 sans TV-out and AGPS . Packing things like a quad-band GSM, dual-band HSPA, 5 megapixel camera, with auto focus, a xenon flash, 9.5 hours talk and 430 hours standby time, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth, would lead us to believe this should be sitting in the mid range feature phone market. We should see this shipping in Q2 this year in Noble Black, Sincere Silver -- no really, that's the truth -- and Precious Peach hues. No word on pricing yet, though we expect that'll all trickle out soon.
